How do I scan documents and than email
Scan the document and save the image as a jpg file. Open your email program and create your message and attach the scanned image file to the email.

I called Brother technical support and they walked me through the configuration and device settings.
Can do it fine now.

Be kind m'53. Maybe you can scan to a folder, then use print setup to compile all the data on one page, if it's not much data. You'll have to do all this with the computer, don't expect the scanner to do that. There is always lots of software out there to do this kind of stuff.

Brother Scanner error message.
After much time with Brother Tech support. The solution finally turned out to be as simple as downloading this file to reset the drivers.

Looking at my manual , it tells me you have a software user guide on the cd-rom ....this is where you will find the answer.

I deleted all Brother programmes from by PC, cleaned the registry and used the Brother Uninstall programme first. (I restarted the PC after each deletion)
Then I reinstalled the latest Brother printer driver software without the PaperPort SE 11 programme.
Then I installed the Paperport programme separately.
It worked.
