What does Lanier LP222cn Color Regist. Error mean?
It could mean that your cartridges needed to be re-inserted or replaced. Please try this and then if still having the printer error, you can run a power cycle. Otherwise, you might have to attempt some troubleshooting techniques in your printer manual. But you can also call Lanier at 973-882-2000 for any tips.
Setting up and i put the ink in and printer keeps saying setup and no other keys work?
It's hard to provide a definitive answer without knowing the make and model of the printer, but I'm assuming it's new out of the box, and that it's an inkjet printer.
Some manufacturers put a protective plastic film on the ink cartridge that covers both the jets and the contacts. Some may also have a similar film on the ink cartridge contacts inside the printer. The installation and setup guide should mention that and tell you to peel off the film before installing the cartridge. There are usually film covers on several other places in the printer; see your setup guide to make sure you get all of them. Be certain you are removing a disposable film; you don't want to tear off a flexible circuit ribbon by mistake! It should be very much like the plastic film you sometimes see on the front of new phones or TV sets, except that it is usually colored orange or blue (circuit ribbon is usually yellow-brown, and has conductive circuit lines on it).
If the film is left on either set of ink cartridge contacts, the printer doesn't recognize the cartridge is there, which may be why it's stuck at setup.
Note: one reason for the film is to protect the circuitry from static electricity as well as contamination from skin oil. Be very careful to never touch the contacts on either the printer or the cartridge with your bare hands. If necessary, gently clean the contacts with a foam or cotton swab dampened with isopropyl alcohol (be careful not to leave lint behind).

HP LaserJet Pro 100 M175nw Wireless Color All-in-One. How can I do a factory reset? I can't find a solution on the web.
Question edited for clarity. Full make model.
A factory reset won't fix firmware crashes or errors on updates. The firmware is what the machine does before the software is loaded and how it is loaded. A Reset, only reloads the operating software. Error 79 is an easy fix though. You will need to take it to an HP Service Centre if the firmware update is the issue.
It sounds like the printer is holding a print job in memory since it is showing " Printing Document" now on the display. Print Jobs are Stuck in the Print Queue. Disconnect any cables from the printer, except the power cable.
