You just pull down the front cover that is just below where the copies come out of the machine. You will see the toner cartridge. It has a small "handle" on it. It just pulls out the front of the machine. Then just unpack the new one making sure to remove the seal tape if it is installed on your new toner. Then re-install the new cartridge and close the door. If you have your users manual for the machine, the instructions are in the manual. If you are using a OEM Canon toner cartridge I believe the instructions are included in the box.

hi, i think that somone was oppened the cover by force, that can damadge the cover switch. open the front cover, look inside is there any foreign body, is the cover switch looks fine, look at this picture from the user guide page 152:

By pressing the menu button left of the LCD display,scroll to usersettings press ok.Scroll to volume settings press ok and change volume levels there.

On the controll panel there is a diamond shape picture with a eye in it.press that bottom and clear the fax that you received.There is no other way.You will have to phone the sender and ask them to change the papersize settings on the fax machine.

in this case I think you not choice the correcte paper if you make print from the computer go to the printer and try to choice a corect size paper ( A4)

Starting on page 4-8 and continuing thru step 3 on page 4-9 will allow you to setup the mp feeder for legal size paper on your Faxphone L170.

either dubree on the rollers or on the corona wires, wires clean with acalohol and q-tip, very carefully or you will brake the fire, look where the line is at and open the machine and locate where the issue is and remove and clean this area very carefully.
