Ok i know this is kinda old, but i found a solution.

First to those people to state I found a solution from hp, cannon etc etc and not give out the direct link, or instructions, then whats the point fing posting????

This error happens when you install an oem cartridge onto your system. Or havent used it in a while, so the machine is somehow misfigured.

This solution is for canon mp800, simply switch off printer. HOLD stop/reset and press and HOLD on/off button. release stop/reset. Now press stop.reset twice. then release on/off button, press stop/reset 4 times, wait 20 seconds, press on/off button twice.

switch machine back on and the printer should find the cartridges.

This method maybe the same for your mp*** if not google RESET CANON PRINTER MP*** and you'll find the correct buttons to press.

The 6A00 is a Canon generic code for paper path jam.

Solution 1:
Move the printhead carriage back and forth a few times.

Solution 2:
Check the purge unit: Moving the print head assembly will not clear a purge unit if its jammed with paper, paper clips, push pins, screws, cookie crisp, flower bud pods or the like.

Solution 3:
Press the ink pads down in the purge unit.

I had this problem too and I discovered that there is a sort of switch in the display lid that malfunctions. It is probably there to switch off the display if you close the lid while the printer is on.

The solution is to open the lid just enough to reach the on/off switch and turn the printer on. If you now open the lid fully the display is up and running like you were used to.

Had this same problem and just fixed it. You need to actually change the button settings in Navigator. Open MP navigator and choose One-Click, then click Button Settings. You can choose a new save destination from here. Even though you are using the software instead of the button on the device, it works.

When i am trying to fax a document it is saying that the memory is full. But when i go to the menu and to fax memory it is saying empty. How to solve this problem

Plug the cable, push stop/reset then push power button. Still Hold power button, then press stop/reset 5 times then release. You now enter in service mode. Then run Canon service tool v.3.400

That is a line feed error (6000) It also should be flashing 3 times for this error on the on/off button.

Either a power supply fault or there is a fault in the main circuit board. You may find a replacement power unit (they are held in by two clips ) at an electronics recycler or auction site like e-bay, but the main board is not an available part.

hi Jackelle21. i have had a look around the internet and all i can find out from going into forums is that the problem might be because you need to download what they are calling (mp navigator) so not sure if this is what you have to do.but if you go to this link you will see download sites to where you can get it. mp navigator download Google Search or this one. MAC OSX would not download, rather it was downloading progressively slower and slower. If I waited for it it would have taken hours if at all. That was using Safari, after I downloaded FOXFIRE browser it only took a couple of minutes.

Look through your fax machine instructions,. There should be some there regarding how many rings before pickup. Or maybe the unit does not have that feature and is designed to have its own separate line for faxes.
