How do use the Scanning Feature ? - Canon PIXMA MP150 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Most printers don't have a network scanning feature,very few do,you have to check the website for network scanning software/setup

You can disable scanning from programming. you put cursor at 28 and dubble click and see feature of scanning. disable it.

See when it comes to scanning problems with the printer ...The first thing to make sure scanning problems don't occur when scanning...... is to have the software for the printer....cause the software is for the scanning feature of the printer... . and the other thing to do is download the scanning utility for the printer ....its found on the company's website under the title drivers and support or drivers and software......Just click on the title and enter the full name (that includes the numbers after the name)of your laptop, printer or any hp product that needs a driver for the pc..... get the right scanning utility for the printer and you will fix the problem...

install the canon printer software, then run the scanning feature and select scan to email..

Please install the full feature software for the printer.

you should be able to use the import media option in any of your office or photo sodeware. there should also be a scan to or a start scan button on your unit

this is not a wireless function sooooooooooooo in order to scan you must connect the printer and the computer with a usb cable.

While scanning disable the OCR feature and than try to scan

1) Install the Microsoft Office Document Imaging feature by following the steps
given below:

1) Go to Start -> Control Panel.
2) Click the Add or Remove Programs.
3) Select the Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 and click the Change
button.
4) Click the Add or Remove Features and click on Next.
5) Select the Choose advanced customization of applications checkbox and click
Next.
6) Click on the Office Tools -> Microsoft Office Document Imaging -> Scanning, OCR
and Indexing Service Filter.
7) Select Run all from My Computer, insert the Office installation CD, and the
feature is installed.

Pressing of scan button feature is no longer supported by hp drivers, if installed correctly one scans using scanners and fax


When the scan button is pressed on the printer, nothing happens. The scan button does not work correctly. Solution Scan documents using Windows Fax and Scanning or Paint. Scanning with Windows Fax and Scanning

1. Click the Start ( ) icon.
2. Click All Programs .
3. Click Windows Fax and Scanning .
4. Click New Scan .
5. Click File and then click Scan .

Scanning with Paint

1. Click Windows .
2. Click All Programs .
3. Click Accessories .
4. Click Paint .
5. Click File and then click From Scanner or Camera .
6. Click Scan .

Cause The drivers in the Windows Vista operating system do not support button press functionality on the printer. link to above info from HP
