Apparently it won't let me log in. Anyhow... I'm pushing voltage. The light is flashing, not flickering. How can I replace the transistors?

SOURCE: Kenwood KAC-7202 wont turn on

I have found the problem to my Kenwood KAC-7202. The amps fan was the only thing that would come on thats it. So I started checkin zener diodes cause all transistors checked out fine. So I remember readinf about a guy that had same problem and took it to a shop and they said it was some diodes. Well, thats what I was thinkin or the transformer. It turned out that 1 zener diode was no good, diode D9 1ss133. I took a zener out of an old vcr I use for parts and put it in and the fan came on as usual then the red light. Then I hooked my mp3 player to the rca input and hooked up some speakers and it works great. Hope this helps you other guys with the same problem. Check your zener diodes with a digital volt meter, if you get any measurement other than the reverse impedance which will read between 600 and 1200 ohms some lower or higher and then reverse the leads on your meter and if you get any reading it's no good and the reading will be 0-50 cause mine read 047 ohms.

SOURCE: amp light is on but no power to my subs!

Hi There.

When you say the 40 Amp fuse blew. Was it your mains battery fuse or was it the fuse on the amplifier? If it was the fuse on the amplifier then you may have hurt the amplifier. The Kenwood KAC-8101D is a 1000 Watt monoblock amplifier. Therefore if you say that 1 of your woofers is not playing, then it is almost certainly blown if you are sure it is connected correctly. Try disconnecting it and only running the woofer that tries to play. If this woofer is still working correctly, you will notice a drastic drop if the sound of your bass. The reason for this is because you have changed the impedance load on your amplifier due to the fact that the other woofer is not working. Have your working woofer checked and replace the faulty woofer then you should be banging again.

Hope this helps!!

Klh subwoofer keeps blowing it's fuse.

Most likely the amp in the sub has blown. It will need repair or replacement. I'd take it to an expert in repairing amps, it's not a job for you unless you're experienced in troubleshooting these things.

Hi, I do not think replacing fuses, you get the Sansui team to respond, I think you have a problem with the speaker output, that's why the fuses are burned

Hola, no creo que reemplazando fusibles, logres que el equipo Sansui responda, yo creo que tienes un problema en la salida de parlantes, por eso se queman los fusibles

I just bought one of these "dead" units for $15...I replaced the blown 2A 250V fuse with a new 2A fuse and it blew as soon as I plugged it in so then I took one of the 4A 250V fuses from the other side of the unit(located right behind the speaker output terminals) and it works perfectly now.

Hi There the fuse just blew in one of my Samson

Hi there
To answer your question;
If it is not indicated near the fuse holder then look closely at the metal end caps of the fuse.
The value will be written on one of them,
It may look like 2A/250v for 2amps.

Hope this help

Blew a fuse what kind dose it take is it a slow blow fuse or fast blow one,i took out the old fuse and it reads le.3a/250v is it a 3a or .3a

It is a 3A/250V fuse, also known as a 6A/125V fuse.

Power amps generally have slow blow fuses.

I too am looking for the solution, I'm hoping I have the wrong power cord which is sending too much power to the sub, my next attempt will be to just up the AMP on the fuse b.c hey it's broken anyway

Woofer will not turn on. fuse was bad but i replaced it and still no power.

Had the same problem, no power from the sub, no light. Opened the box, fuse was bad, replaced the fuse...pop...blew again. Found out that on the bigger middle board next to the power plug there are two capacitors on either side, the inner one burned and crumbled to pieces. I called Kenwood, they said that I would have to bring it to a Electronic Service Specialist that they will give you a number to in your area...or...Ship it yourself to their East Coast Center in Virginia. I already asked if Kenwood is going to send an RMA or Shipping Label and they will not. You will be responsible for the shipping there, but they will pay for the shipping back. Kenwood's East Coast Center in Virginia's number: 757-340-1702 - Good luck

Subwoofer eating fuses.

Check the circiut board for any blown capacitors. Sometimes it's that simple as replacing a capacitor. But then again, what is causing the capacitor to blow??/ Hope this helps.

Power Light off & speaker not working

I had the same problem. The screws around the perimeter of the back plate must be unscrewed and the plate must be pried off as it is glued to the box. When replacing my fuse, 2A 5x20 GMA, it blew the fuse again. Disconnecting the second circuit board prevented the next fuse from blowing, but now the question is what is wrong with the circuit board? I cannot see any damage or shorts.
