Hello, I am sorry for your issue. The update may have stopped due to a power loss or another reason. The receiver needs to be sent to a service center. I have included a link below to search for a center. Thank you, Onkyo USA.

Check any speaker cables, make certain they have not been damaged in the move, or are touching. Especially any individual cables at the connection points, on both speakers and amp. If any wire even cross connects it could damage the main power amp. If it has already done so you will never get it to come out of protect, till the power amp output device(s) are replaced.

You could try checking the DVD discs in a region free player program to see if the DVD is playable. You could try Leawo Blu-ray Player which can play Blu-ray and DVD discs from any region. If the DVD discs can't be played on this player, then it's highly possible that the DVD disc is unplayable.

to change headphone track, use the cue slider which is located on the right of the control panel above the right chanel treble control and below the cue gain control. chanel 1 or 2 can be selected or in the middle for a mix of both tracks just like the cross fader.

your fuses are blown by possible crossing speaker wire - and + together. I did this and kept turning it on but I ended up frying the unit. Check your wires and make sure that they are seperated properly. If problem continues then unscrew the shell and replace 1 or all 3 fuses (depending on what was blown) with GMA 8 amp fuses. good luck.

I had the same problem, check your wires on the back of the tv and make sure your, red, yellow and white wires are in the correct holes. What kind of tv do you have, as I have an Ilo, and it has like 15 different plugs in the back, you may have to get you book out and make sure you have it in the correct hole on the back of the tv... I hope this helps....
