My Caonon D761 was showing sytem error E000. I tried unplugging it for a few minutes, a few times, over a number of days, and it still won't reset itself. Can you tell from the error code what the problem is? Gary

Hi,
This code usually means that you have a fault in the heater circuit for the fixing assembly (Heated rollers)
Either the heater element has blown, there is a fault with the Thermister, AC driver, DC power supply, DC Controller or the safety thermal fuse has opened.
The DC controller locks the device for safety reasons, It indicates this error when the temperature sensor detects no change in the temperature of the fixing rollers after 30 - 40 seconds on turning on the heater circuit.

If you are not competant in repairing copiers, you should have a service technician fix this.

unplug the unit for just 1 day, or you can fuse near the powersupply area if you have access into the inside parts.. but first try to unplug the unit for a day to remove the last settings you made..

System error 000

A E000 means that the fuser unit is not heating up correctly. You will most likey need a new fuser unit. If you unplug the copier and plug it back in and it will not come to "Ready" you need a new fuser. Good Luck

SYSTEM ERROR CODE E000- HOW CAN THIS BE RESET? WHAT DOES THIS ERROR MEAN?

A E000, means that the fuser is not warming up correctly. You can try to unplug the copier and see if it will reset. If it will not reset, you will have to have the fuser unit replaced or the upper fuser heater unit and film. Good Luck

That is a error code for the fixing unit... Did you try to unplug the copier for a few minutes? It may reset, if not you may have to have the fixing unit replaced...

System Error E000

Since there are few techs who can function on telepathy alone, a make and model number is mandatory.

Make; model #; description of problem, and it wouldn't hurt to mention (generally) where you are located.

There isn't a 'generic problem' within even a particular manufacturer's machines; most have varying sets of error codes within series of machines since they may be equipped differently.
