i think the anti virus software is blocking the leappad connect software. go to antivirus settings, under firewall rules, select allow for leappad connect the launch it and try again.
Try to include Yahoo Messenger as an exclusion on your security software. Just launch your security software (McAfee, Norton, AVG...etc) and look for the option to configure your firewall. Include Yahoo Messenger in the exclusion on your firewall. That should allow it to go to the internet to authenticate your account details.
I looked on the website and did not find a downloadable software version, as I would have expected. Call the customer support line at 888-892-6123, they should be able to send you a new disc! :)
Please give me a great rating if I have been of any help! Thanks!
This is kinda a workaround and it will allow your kid to access anything in the new site but it will work (also will allow you to change any of the fobs to whatever you want)
Go to:
In Vista goto C:Users"Your username"AppDataLocalFisher-PriceEasy-Link internet launch pad
In XP goto c:documents and settings"Your username"appdataLocalFisher-PriceEasy-Link internet launch pad
Find the URL.xml file and make a backup copy of it
Edit the url.xml file in notepad and update the FobID of 1(make sure you made a backup copy)
Save the file and load up the software. This has worked for me, and I have updated the dragontales to use pbskids.org as the root and now my son can access everything on PBSKids, without having to buy the other fobs. (even though we did buy a few others)
