Lost cd. I'm trying to connect my printer to the computer, i don't have my cd. please help me to download my printer.

Try to fix the 1200 error first. The error indicates that the cartridge carrier has stalled. You can download the Lexmark X4270 driver by visiting the Lexmark website at http://bit.ly/gKXn7F. Select your operating system, download and execute the file. Follow the instructions on your computer screen.

For your scanning concern, especially when scanning documents, you will need the Lexmark OCR scan software to do the job. The scan software is available only on the installation disc that came with your printer. If you lost the disc, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for additional assistance.

After downloading is finished, unplug the printer USB and run the software that you downloaded.

Since I don't have the exact model name, I can't give you the exact download. However, go here, select your exact model, then download the entire software suite for your printer and operating system. Run it once it's downloaded and it will install just like the CD would.

Follow this link and download the file ip1500xp180usZ.exe in the driver section.

When you'll get it, make sure that your printer is not connect with your computer.....Install the driver first and when it's done connect your USB cable to your printer...it will says new hardware found and it will install it self !

If you have a different OS (win 98 or 2000) at the link you'll see over the driver section choice box where you can select your OS...
