Lost cd to re-install Lexmark X6170 printer

I had computer problems and the man that worked on the computer removed several programs in trying to fix my computer. He removed the software and thus my printer from my computer. I have lost the cd that is needed to install my printer again on my computer. Where can I find one? It is a Lexmark X6170 All in One.     I have a lexmark x6170 and I lost the installer cd so now I can't use it anymore, and I tried looking on the internet to see if there are any available free downloads but I can't find any, so if there's anyone that knows a site to download I would be very grateful.

Hi You can download a driver Software from my website then you can use the driver to set your printer up.
Just click on this link and it will download for you, and it is best to save it on your desktop so you can find it.
This is for the lexmark X6170

Cd lost
Lexmark does not distribute replacement install disk for all models.

Contact Lexmark here, to see if the disk for your printer is available.

If you do not have the disk you must download the software from Internet, follow instructions below,

Click here:Official Lexmark Drivers and Software

A web page will open, follow instructions, select model, select operative system etc., and click on download .
Chose to download the file in my documents when asked.
After downloading, find the file,double click on the file ,then if you get in troubles, follow the instructions below to reset and reinstall drivers:

  • Unplug printer USB.
  • Go to control panel >> installed printers in Windows and remove (delete ) any installed printer from printer list.
  • Download driver from website, or use the disk and run the install file.
  • Follow driver installation wizard.
  • Plug back printer when prompted from installation wizard.
Note:some printerdoes not work on Vista, if you do not find any driver download for Vista on your model page, that means your model is not Vista compatible.

Lexmark X6170 fax bvrp
it's supposedly bundled with that printer..

here are some instructions..

How to Install BVRP FaxTools Software on the Lexmark X6130/X6150/X6160/X6170/X6190 Pro ID:ENUS8694 null.gif null.gif null.gif
The FaxTools software is on the Lexmark X6100 Series Installation CD. During installation of the printer driver, you will be asked whether you want to install it. If you choose to cancel this option during the installation process, you can install the software separately as follows:
  1. Insert the Lexmark X6100 Installation CD into the CD-ROM drive.
  2. When the Install Software screen appears, click Cancel.
  3. Right click on the Start button and select Explore.
  4. Click on the plus sign (+) beside My Computer .
  5. Click on the plus sign (+) beside the Lex X6100 CD.
  6. Double-click on the FAX folder.
  7. Double-click on the relevant language folder on the right-hand side.
  8. Double-click on the Setup executable. (Note: The correct setup icon is the one with two white arrows on a grey foreground.)
  9. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
