Error Number : 1003 No
Another possible reason for getting this error is a dusty printer. I don't dust very often so dust piles on everything, including my printer. My daughter wanted me to print something for her and the first page went through just fine. But the second never started and I got error 1003. I had plenty of paper loaded and my settings for the size of paper were correct. I dusted out my printer and everything else printed just fine. My theory is the top paper had dust bunnies on it that were pulled into the printer when it pulled the first page in. Maybe the dust got caught on a sensor that told the computer there wasn't any paper. Regardless of what happened, a quick cleaning fixed the problem. I just wanted to throw in my two cents for anyone out there that may have a dusty printer and run into this error.

Step 1: Manual for Service mode (1st method)
1. Unplug POWER and USB cables.
2. Open door, PRESS and HOLD the POWER button.
3. Connect the POWER cable.
4. Close door, then release POWER button.
5. Power ON your printer a usual (It should not blinking anymore)

No, It could be that the copper/metallic plate that interfaces with the cartridge and/or the carriage could be dirty. Remember that the ink is heated to produce the steam which is necessary to push the ink out of the cartridge. That spray doesn't just go down. It atomizes the ink so it sprays everywhere. You may need to clean those contacts with 91-99% Isopropyl Alcohol and use a coffee filter. The white filters are cheap, lint-free, and durable. Please turn off the printer and unplug it before you use any liquids on the contacts!!!
Clear paper on test print
Check the ink cartridges,enter in the mantenace mode and select cleaning options and after select autocalibration.
No print on test print
Check the printer status on your PC :is OFFLINE or Ready?If is Ready change the paper try and paper size.
