• Check if the set temperature on the digital display is too low.
• Try setting the refrigerator to a warmer temperature.
• Is the temperature in the room too low? Set the refrigerator warmer.
• Did you store the food which is juicy in the coldest part of the refrigerator? Try moving those items
to the other shelves in the fridge instead of keeping them in the colder areas or bins.
• Is the air vent blocked? Remove any obstructions so air can circulate freely.
• Allow sufficient space between the stored foods for efficient air circulation.
• Is the freezer drawer closed properly?

There is a ton of information regarding your fridge at the link below, including asking Samsung support questions and getting responses and assistance from their techs:

SOURCE: samsung RFG 297 series... contro panel reads 88 88

This is technical unit an they can be pretty touchy with power outages sometimes. It may be in a display mode. If you havent already try unplugging the unit for a minute or two and plug it back in. This doesnt reset its programming try holding Energy Saver Key + Lighting Key for 8 seconds and let the unit run thru a self diagnstic test and hopefully it will reset. If neither works its going to have the main board replaced.

Testimonial: "It worked! Thank you so much!"

The fridge turned off today due to a power outage and now it only shows a green bar on the display and is not cooling!

What kind of refrigerator, and whats the model number? Green bar flashing I'm going to guess a Samsung. If so, then hold down two buttons at the same time on the display, It depends on the model number as to which two, but in most cases its the power freeze and ref buttons. If you can get the brand and model # to me I could describe more for you.

Samsung AW2-PJT RFG 297AA ....... Need to know which componets or relay boards would have burned out when 220 volts was applied to outlet while fridge was plugged in. 120 volts was restored to outlet but...

Remove the lower cover in rear of refrig ..the board sits in right hand corner..there are several screws to remove and the icemaker valve may have to be removed and then there is a large plastic housing that holds the board..hopefully, this is your problem
