Question about Samsung RF265AA Bottom Freezer French Door Refrigerator
Power outage when power came back on 33e code came up flashing still on
That sounds like a power glitch. Try pressing and holding the power freeze and power cool buttons at the same time for about 8 to 13 seconds and see if it clears.
If that doesn't do it, let me know and I'll dig up the Fast Track on it.

I called Samsung and they said to shut down the fridge for a minute. If that didn't work to call a technician to clear the error code and display. I tried your fix to press the power freeze and power cool buttons at the same time for 8-13 seconds and it worked! Thanks very much!
It worked on mine thanks

This WORKED: "pressing and holding the power freeze and power cool buttons at the same time for about 8 to 13 seconds"
Thanks.
but not sure if clearing the error code is sufficient or we still need to correct the element, etc.

Removing the error code is one thing; but addressing the real concern behind the problem (to avoid malfunction or overheating) is another thing. any thoughts on how to address it?

SOURCE: After power outage, our Samsung
If the power outtage was less than 10 minutes unplug the unit for 20 minutes. Then attempt to restart the unit. If you have a display and nothing happens press power cool and power freeze for 8 seconds then use the up arrow to cycle through until you get to the final test and it should restart. If you still have the problem after doing the above, respond without rating the post and I wll help you. RS2556 Service manual is publication number SAM0097.pdf and can be found here:

SOURCE: I have a Samsung Refrigerator Model#
On a Samsung Refrigerator model #RF260BEAEBC French Door, press and hold both "Power Freeze" and "Power Cool" buttons simultaneously until chimes sound. This will reset the flashing 13 E code.

Usually answered in minutes!
The next time this happens try pressing the power freeze and power cool buttons together for various time lengths. If this doesn't work, you should call up a commercial refrigeration service for either advice or help fixing it. I do that on occasion when I don't know what to do and everything usually turns out good for me. http://www.pro-staffmechanical.com/servi...
I have the RFG298HDRS. I was able to reset the 33 E code by pressing and holding the Energy Saver (top left) and the Lighting (top right) buttons together for approximately 8-10 seconds.
