How to fix error 24 for mp 160???? - Canon PIXMA MP160 All-In-One InkJet Printer

I believe this error occurs when the ink cartridges aren't seated correctly. They should be sitting horizontal and not slanted.

Secondly, to run the software your printer has to be in service mode. Do that by
- unplug cable
- press and hold "power" button
- plug cable
- press "resume" and release
- release the "power" button
At this stage, your computer will detect a new hardware

Run the software.
