In most cases the printer driver software can have errors while being in use or is shut down. So to reset remove your printer from the PC and uninstall the printer software. Now reinstall the printer software and then connect the Printer to be detected as a new hardware as it will be installed. Now check the printer properties to see the ink levels.
Activate head cleaning before a test is taken .

I believe is a scanner error. Try first to switch it off for 30 minutes
and try. Else re-attach the ribbon
cables of the scanner and try again.
error still persist then do a factory reset as per below
1) Switch off the printer
and hold the Stop/Reset button while switching on the printer.
3) With the Power LED lit, press the Stop/Reset button two times while pressing and holding the Power button.
4) Release the Power button and the Stop/Reset button that will put the printer in service mode. Just wait for the menu selection.
5) When the LED lights in green, press Stop/Reset button to specified number of time(s)
according to the Legend below.
0 time Green Power off
1 time Orange Service pattern print
2 times Green EEPROM print
3 times Orange EEPROM reset
4 times Green Waste ink counter reset See waste ink counter reset procedures below.
5 times Orange Destination setting See Destination setting procedures below.
6 times Green Print head deep cleaning
11 times Orange Button / LCD checking
12 or more times Returns to a menu selection
