Hi pmichalow993.
Based on the information you have provided, it seems that the issue might be due to the Printer Drivers.
As you have installed the Windows 7 Operating System, the latest Printer Drivers might not have been installed for the Windows 7 Operating System.
However, the issue might also be due to several other factors.
Please let me know the exact Model # of the Printer and also let me know the exact issue which occurs while using the Printer.
Using this information, I can provide you the best solution to resolve the issue.
Hope this helps.
Please feel free to contact for further information and assistance.
Hello again pmichalow993.
Thanks for providing the detailed information.
I have checked all the information online.
It seems that the issue is due to the SMB signing settings. This issue will occur, if there are any changes in the User Group Policies.
However, I have mentioned the detailed information to resolve the issue.
Please follow the steps which I have mentioned below:
The troubleshooting steps involve changing the Registry keys. Hence, it would be better to backup the Registry.
Steps to backup the Registry keys:
1) Press the "Windows+R" keys simultaneously.
2) Then, type "regedit" in the Run command window and press Enter.
3) This should open the Registry Editor window.
4) Once you are there, click on File and select the "Export" option.
5) Then, save the Registry backup on any location in the C: Drive.
6) Please do not backup the Registry keys on the Desktop.
7) Select the location and click on "OK".
8) This will backup the Registry keys.
Once you have completed this, you may go ahead with the further troubleshooting steps.
There are a lot of steps involved in the Registry. Hence, I have mentioned the Microsoft Knowledge base article which has the detailed information.

Please open the above link to view the detailed steps to resolve the issue.
Once you have opened the page, please scroll down the page and go to the "Resolution" part.
Once you are there, please follow the steps from step (1) to step (15).
Performing these steps will make the required changes in the Registry and the User Group Policy.
Please perform all the steps which I have mentioned.
This should resolve the issue.
Hope this helps.
Please feel free to contact for further information and assistance.

Friend,
It is not the printer or scanner that decides what the document should be saved as. It is the word processor that does it. Like Word should have the capability to save any document as pdf file. Scanner will only scan the document and send it to be displayed on the word processor screen. Then you have to decide form Save As as to what you can save it as. Some WPs do have this capability but not all.
