Re: Canon 330s Copier with Dark printouts
How dark is it??
canon is sensitive to dust,
turn off machicne take off top copy glass move scanning glass and wipe with a clean towel.
try adjusting the dark and light does it change? if it comes out better on light then the drum is the problem. ( getting old)

open front cover, release developer lever at right, release feeder lever at down right corner, unscrew the centre screw at the top of the drum unit, slide out the drum unit, at the back of unit u will find a clear plastic cap remove it and empty the waste toner reverse all the process to place all togather.
it is very possible the dark line on your copies are being caused by the drum. it will all depend on how many copies are on it but without seeing one of the copies the best guess i can make is the drum.
check the fuser... to see if one of the rollers has toner all over it... then check your paper path... to see if you see any obvious signs... then try printing 20 pages and opening the copier at various times during the printout process... you want to see if you can catch it where the dark starts appearing... chances are where it starts... is right next to the bad part... you are looking for a print out with one half no dark and the other half real dark...
This is for a Mita 1560 Photocopier (analog)
J50 was caused by exit sensor not sitting correctly in its bracket,I fixed this by pushing it until it
clicked back in.
The dark lines & double imaging can be caused light getting onto the drum ,or if the drum gets
cold (so I have been advised) which one it was for sure I will never know because when I
returned the next day & fixed the exit sensor the copy was OK.
No image usually in developer charge area. drum may not be going around, charge coronas (wires) broke, etc. Does it have enough toner. I have seen no image because toner was not installed. Run dark copy and see if you can see anything...
