laser jets dont use printer heads, they're only found in inkjets. If you have a problem with the quality of the printout with your laserjet, then you may remove the toner assembly (usually accessible from the front cover) and also see the fusion assembly. The drum may be dirty so you'll need to clean it up with a soft cloth, and de-magnetize it with the corona wire (there should be a slider next to the drum, probably marked with a non-black handle, so you can easily spot it). If there are some dark spots on the printout that come up at the same place on every printout you'll need to go with the cloth cleanup approach.

Replace cartridge.

check the fuser... to see if one of the rollers has toner all over it... then check your paper path... to see if you see any obvious signs... then try printing 20 pages and opening the copier at various times during the printout process... you want to see if you can catch it where the dark starts appearing... chances are where it starts... is right next to the bad part... you are looking for a print out with one half no dark and the other half real dark...

When you do click Print, you get a option

Printer Options

CLick on Printer options and select B&W

You can also make choice of you want dark prints or medium.

Dark prints will waste lot of your toner.

Avoid thick black panels in your printout material

try cleaning the drum and all the components of the cartridge. remove each component in the printing section and clean it.

Have you tried a different toner cart? Common problem with reman carts. If that fails again, check the silver spring loaded contacts inside on the left and right that contacts the toner cart. Make sure they are not stuck inside the frame and that they are springy.

Dear Sir,

You are getting black lines in green color,and apperence of parallel light and dark lines because your colour catridge is almost empty.So solution is replace the catridge and take a printout. There is no proplem with a printer. i think it solves your problem.

all parts are ok just clean the printer it will work

I would say you have a bad drum / toner cartridge.

Stuff you receive with vertical lines is probably the sender's dirty scanner.

on an i960 canon the magenta does not come through/thank you,Leo
