Brother printers have somewhat particular parts, including the toner cartridge and the drum unit, in contrast to different printers. At the point when important, ensure that you supplant the printer's drum unit and not the area of the cartridge.
Step by Step Manual for Resolving Brother Printer Drum Error slide green tab:-
Stage 1: First, open your Brother printer's title page.
Stage 2: There is a Clean catch at the highest point of the catch. When snap the catch.
Stage 3: Click the Start button on the highest point of your printer beside the green shading segment.
Stage 4: You will see that your printer's presentation screen is turned off. Assuming this is the case, click the Plus (+) button 10 or multiple times again and again.
Stage 5: Now, press your printer's Ok button. An opportune screen showing the sign' Please pause' will be activated.
Stage 6: Close the printer title page intently once all the above advances have been done.

Try removing all the toner carts and remove the drum unit from the printer. Using the upholstery tool on your home vacuum cleaner, clean all over the drum unit being careful not to directly touch the drum surfaces (they scratch very easily causing permanent marks to print) also vacuum out the inside of the printer. It is likely that dust is preventing correct charge build on the drum. Also make sure the green slide tabs are placed back at the home position at the side of the drum unit. Re-assemble and test.

SOURCE: Newly set-up Brother color laser printer displays drum error.

The slides you are moving are for the drum units, you could try using canned air to blow in the same area that the sliders slide across, if that doesn't help you may need a new drum unit..

SOURCE: Our Brother HL4040CN is saying

The green tab referred to on the drum unit slides a thin wire across the drum to scrape off any built-up toner that has accumulated.

To do this, first open the door to access the toner/drum cartridges (it's the same door you'd open to replace a spent cartridge). Remove one of the cartridges; the inside of the door will have a sticker illustrating the exact steps to do this. Once you've removed a cartridge, look to the end that is inserted first when installing it (the end opposite the one grasped to remove the cartridge). You should see a small green tab here. Slide it left and right several times to clear away any blockage. For good measure, vigorously shake the cartridge side to side to evenly redistribute the remaining toner evenly inside the cartridge. Replace the cartridge and repeat these steps for each one remaining.

If you still get an error after following these steps, remove each cartridge and shake it extra vigorously for at least 10 seconds. Sometimes the toner can clump inside the cartridge, causing the printer to interpret it as a blockage. This is especially likely to occur if you live in an area with a humid environment.

Printer keeps saying to clean the corona wire. I cleaned it several times but the message keeps popping up.

To clean the corona wire in the brother laser printer, it said to remove the drum/toner assembly from the printer. This is very easy to do, you simply pull down the front of the printer, and press a small green tab down and pull. Then the toner and drum assembly will quickly come out.
After that, it says you must clean the corona wire by moving a small green square back and forth several times. It seemed kind of strange to me, but I did it anyways. In the upper right corner of the drum/toner assembly, there is a small green/blue square that can be moved back and forth. I did this several times.
I then placed the unit inside, and the error message went away for a minute. However it still wouldn't print and the error message came right back up. I was a bit frustrated since I have only owned this printer for about 2-3 months.
But then I realized something: The toner button had been blinking for about a month. I had already purchased a high yield black toner cartridge for the brother laser printer (Tn-330/TN360). I purchased it online, and had it stored for when I eventually ran out of toner.
I thought perhaps the error message had something to do with the old toner. Maybe it was out?? So I once again opened the front of the laser printer, and removed the toner/drum assembly. I pressed a green tab, removed the old toner, and then added the brand new high yield black laser toner cartridge. The whole process was very simple (you gotta love today's technology).
I then quickly "cleaned the corona wire" a few times again just to be safe. I re-installed the toner, and the printer was up and running. So apparently it will throw this error when you are out of toner. Now the printer is running great again, and I really like this printer.
If you are still using an ink jet printer, then you are living in the stone age. I was reluctant to buy a new laser printer, but now I love it. The toner only costs $30-60 and lasts for months. I print hundreds of labels out each month-just to give you an idea of how long it lasts.or get more information Call +877 889 6859 for detail.

Drum error. slide green tab in each color

1. power down the printer.
2. remove all color cartridges from their slots.
3. inside the color slot, you will see a green slide that will not move until you pick up the plastic cover.
4. rotate the plastic cover forward.
5. slide the green slide 3 or 4 times. (DO NOT TOUCH SMALL WIRES!)
6. return slide to original position.
7. snap the plastic cover back in place
8. return each color cartridge to it's slot.
9. replace color cartridge holder back to printer.
10. close all covers
11. turn printer back on.

If you still get the "move green slide" error, just repeat these steps

This took me about 10 minutes for the process, after understanding what the "green slide" meant.

My brother MFC9840cdw has an error message that says, "drum error, slide the green tab on each of the colored drum units. Refer to the users guide". I have tried sliding the green sliders several times. I...

The guy that replied solved the problem. He rocks and I can't believe that brother does have a large posting on this issue. Sham on them:
ben2913 did the job "This is NOT the solution to this error code. The code is telling you that the Corona wire must be cleaned. Remove all 4 color drums. Look down into the tray that you removed them from and you will see 4 green tabs. Open the plastic cover that protects the corona wire and move the green tab back and forth several times. After you have done this with all 4, reinstall the drums, close the machine front and everything will work fine again."

Brother 4070 CDW Drum Unit Error

The green tabs that you have to slide are under the color cartridges, so remove the three color cartridges and you will see three green tabs, to slide the tab across the wire you have to first open the translucent plastic wire cover, then slide the green tab across the wires and return it to it's original position, close the wire covers, replace the color cartridges, and reassemble the printer.
