Paper jam printer says ''paper jam'' I took paper out and it is not torn. No paper is stuck anywhere. What do I do next?

Basically, you need to check along the paper's pathway through the machine. Paper may well be stuck inside the printer. If you pulled paper out, leaving behind a torn corner, that could be enough to set off a sensor. If there is NO paper inside anywhere, then cancel any remaining print jobs, close all necessary printer drawers, and turn OFF your printer entirely and let it sit for about five minutes. Then try turning it on -- that usually resets it.

You should certainly start by looking at the toner cartridge to see if there is any tape to remove. If there is no tape with a visible pull tab, check inside the printer to make sure that there are no pieces of torn paper stuck anywhere inside.

Paper jam 2 error code is saying the jam is in the fuser area of the machine.
You need to remove the toner cartridge, and since you said you've taken the whole thing apart, maybe try a flashlight and look for a LITTLE piece of paper that may have torn off that remains stuck around that fuser area (the fuser is the thing behind the toner that gets hot-- so be careful -- but look in the corners and anywhere a small piece of paper could have torn and got stuck.

If you're absolutely sure that there is nothing stuck, I'd try to do a hard-reset: Turn off the machine, unplug the power cord and the cable that goes to your computer (if it's hooked up to one. And if it is hooked up to a computer, power down the computer as well.) Wait a minute or two, plug the computer back in, plug the power cord and cable from the printer back in, then turn on the printer and the computer and let them both go through their various start-ups.

If none of that works, let us know.. but from what I know and the docs I have access to, it should work... (fingers crossed!)

I have the same exact problem of paper half torn removed but I can not see the other half anywhere. The printer has hardly worked for at the most six pages and now showing paper jam error. How do I fix it?
