I am not familiar with this model but usually Canon waste bottle has:
1. Check if the waste toner botlle has some clear portion near the neck, (as in IRC3200) or other part of the bottle ,even the waste toner was removed but if this portion is still clouded by toner the sensor will still detect the waste is full
2. If the situation is not like this some Canon Ir machine needs to reset waste toner counter in the service program mode even the waste toner bottle was emptied
The counter needs reset in service mode. The copier will continure to work. Dont worry about it and have the service tech reset the count on your next call for service.
On the right hand side of the machine, losen the lower right panel and remove ,remove the bottle and empty the waste toner.

I put the bottle out. Empty it. Put it back. But printer still wrote me - that it needs to empty the bottle.
As I wrote. I took the old waste bottle out - empty it - put it back. But printer still asks me for replacing the bottle.
Is it possible to tell somehow the printer that bottle is changed?
