My lg washer turns on but i cannot select which cycle I want

When I turn my washer on all of the lights come on, but when I turn the dial to select a cycle nothing happens. It will start when I press the start button but it goes to the normal cycle. I can then pause the machine and change the water temp, and speed, but only the normal cycle can be selceted.
Any info you can give me would be very helpful.
thanks
marykate

The LG washers are very buggy. Yes buggy. They have an on board computer that to this day still has issues. This sounds to me like the computer is confused about cycle changes. The component is also quite difficult to change. On ether side of machine are screws that need to be removed to lift lid. There are 3 modules inside. you will need to look at the wires to see where the largest sum of wires come together. That will be the main unit. Hope this helps. Good luck.

No error code-no power to dispaly-Washer won't turn on

It could very well be the timer control (these are electronic, not mechanical, and electronic styles are more flukey). But, you need to know how to override certain wiring to test other components and know for sure if it is timer control board or other. Most people think there is a fuse to find and this will solve everything; unfortunetly, this is not your case. Goodluck, Macgivor

Power surge - washing machine Not turning on.

Instructions Things You'll Need:
  • GE/ lg washer
    Primary Method---Newer models
  1. Step 1 Unplug the washer.
  2. Step 2 Twist the control dial around the cycle settings.
  3. Step 3 Place the dial on any setting other than the final spin.
  4. Step 4 Ensure that the water line is securely attached to the washer.
  5. Step 5 Plug the washer back into the wall (making sure it has gone at least 30 seconds without power).
  6. Alternate Method---Older Machines
  7. Step 1 Turn the dial around the cycle settings, but do not lift it to start the cycle.
  8. Step 2 Unplug the washer.
  9. Step 3 Plug the washer into the wall after 30 seconds without power.
  10. Step 4 Lift the washer lid five times, making sure it reaches a height of at least 6 inches or more. There should be no more than a 15-second interval between lifts.
  11. Step 5 Listen for a clicking noise. If a click is not heard, repeat steps 1 to 5 until you hear it.
  12. Step 6 Place a small load of laundry into the washer and start the cycle.
  13. Step 7 Watch the load throughout the wash to ensure the washer is working properly.

How do I turn off the beepers on my Bosch washer

To turn the beep off (or volume down) on the Exxcel 7 (BOSCH WAE24468GB you do the following:
1. Turn setting dial to off. 2. Turn dial one step clockwise (wait for panel to light) 3. Keep finger on 'RPM' button and turn dial another step clockwise and release finger. 4. The default setting of '2' should appear on the display, this represents the Button Signal Volume 5. Pressing 'Ready in' button cycles through the volume settings from 0 (off) to 4 (very loud!). 6. Turn dial another step clockwise to set the 'Information Signal Volume', which is also set to '2' by default. This is the one that annoys everyone at the end of the cycle!
All the manuals are on the Bosch website, if you know the model code.
