Recently changed the drum and toner and added a print server to make this a network printer. Since these changes, the printer sometimes prints fine and sometimes prints blank pages. If I turn off the printer and then turn it on, it works fine on the first print attempt.

Please double check that the nozzle of your printer is clean. Also, please run test prints with different document to check for any change to the issue afterwards.
And you'll want to restart both your printing source (ie computer) as well as your printer before attempting another test.
Also, please check that toner that you're using isn't a 3rd party toner as printer companies have updated their software to block these from working with your printer.
When was it last serviced? What is the print count?
Why is my printer printing mostly black?
If it is all black then it is either a defective toner cartridge or a problem with the high voltage power supply. Check the contacts on the toner cartridge and in the printer, sometimes the contacts get bent out of position.

Unless drum low warnings have been ignored for a significant amount of time, this is most likely to be a toner cartridge issue.
I would recommend running off 15-30 pages in the hope that this pulls some toner through. Failing this I would recommend replacing the toner cartridge.
This is almost certainly an issue with the toner cartridge. I would recommend running off 30 or so prints and contacting whoever the cartridge was purchased from if the toner doesn't pull through.
This sounds like an issue with either the toner cartridge or the drum unit. Have either of these consumables been changed recently? This should help identify the likely cause.
If the drum has been changed recently I would recommend cleaning the corona wire. If however the toner has been changed there isn't masses I can recommend in terms of trouble shooting. it may however be worth running off 15-30 pages in the hope of pulling the toner through.
Failing this I would recommend calling Brother technical support in case the issue is hardware related and not the fault of a consumable.
Never used caaned air near a copier. A copier vacuum will **** out the toner. Canned air just makes the problem worse. When changing the drum unit did you change the drum blade ? Try running 50 blank pages to see if it clears up. Good luck.
Please clean the drum and the fuser, also check the toner cartridges if there's any overflown toner powder spilled. The problem is caused when the toner waste tank in the drum is full or overflowing.

hi i have the same problem after replace the fuser the problem is in the little board ,where all the connectors are on the , 7812a , a positive voltage regulator ,was loose ,
only resoldering and ok..!
