A laser printer needs toner to print, when this runs out the printer will print either blank or very faint images.
You need to replace the toner cartridge with a new one or a re-manufactured toner cartridges. Re-manufactured toner cartridges are cheaper than new toner cartridges for your model printer.

Hey this might be that the toner is empty, get a shop to either refill it or purchase a new ink tonner for your make as you will take it to them and they can match it up. So you get the correct ink for your printer.
Did it print one and then spend out 5 pages exactly. If this be the case then it confirms that the ink tonner needs to be replaced. You have run out of ink.

Hi,
you have problem with laser shuter on laser unit. It needs to be fixed or replaced.
This is canons factory fault, and if the machine is under waranty call service.

it a very easy to refill the 12 A tonner

remove the drum from cartriage then find 2 hook fixed the cartriage just relese it you find your cartriage divided in to 2 parts relese the nut from other side of the cartriage open the cap then fill with the tonner fix all

you need to change the print head ...

I just had tech from Canon and replace a part that took hime 5 minutes. He said that the part replaced allows the image to appear on paper and it was a common issue.

The problem is may be scanner assembly of the printer or tonner sensor check this peripheral if possible.
