You say that it has a new print head in it. New cartridges are shipped (packaged) with a protective piece of tape over the small printhead area itself, and this is usually a clear adhesive tape. Not something you immediately notice. Remove the cartridge and look at the bottom of it. Was the peice of tape removed from the printhead before it was installed into the printer? If this is not your problem, then it may just be a faulty printhead and you should exchange it for a good one or get your money back.

SOURCE: not printing at all

I think Jmorgan123 provded the correct final answer. Get a new ink cartridge. Not sure why the poster gave the knowledgeable advice a "Not helpful" rating.?? (when they accepted the answer later by someone else)

Not printing in black (not a cartridge or head drying)

you first try by cleaning the head then you can clean the cartidge contact point with printer head, if nothing seems to solve the problem then you hve to send the printer for servicing

Help

The canon Multipass C2500 won't work directly with Win XP. However, the canon website has a work around that will work as a printer only on the computer but should be able to send and receive faxes through the device as a stand alone device.

Not printing at all

This might sound a little obvious, but I've seen it before. But did you peel off the plastic covering from the cartridge before you installed it?

Pictures printing with stripes of color in some programs but not all programs.

Try new injet cartidges. If your printer has separate head and ink combo, replace the jets. The high quality mode operates the piezo jets at full power and lower setting can cause jets not to open as far. On some preinters, your particalar problem can be the result of too thin paper and the economy setting being used. Use 18lb or 20lb paper and see if it still does it on normal print mode.
