Canon MultiPASS C2500 INKJET PRINTER/FAX MACHINE will not release the ink from the new ink cartidge. Will pretend to print everything is working but no ink!?
This might sound a little obvious, but I've seen it before. But did you peel off the plastic covering from the cartridge before you installed it?

Try to perform printhead cleaning
1. Press
2. Press
3. Repeat steps one and two at least 5 times.
Then Check the status of the print head by printing a test page.
The test page confirms whether sufficient ink is still in the cartridge (or tank) and if ink is ejecting from the print head nozzles.
1. Press
2. Press the '*' (asterisk) key on the dial keypad.
If none of this works, you'll need to return that ink cartridge and get a new one.
Thank you Zt3000, I agree. It makes me not want to give advice if people aren't going to except it and just give me a not helpful rating.
When troubleshooting a problem, it's common to try different solutions.
Why rate me as not helpful so quickly? Don't you want to try other
solutions that I have for you?

I think Jmorgan123 provded the correct final answer. Get a new ink cartridge. Not sure why the poster gave the knowledgeable advice a "Not helpful" rating.?? (when they accepted the answer later by someone else)

Not helping sorry!
I just received a MulitPASS C2500 that my job was giving away. It sounds as if it is printing, but when the paper comes out it is blank. I purchased a remanufactured ink cartridge, removed the tape and all from the cartridge, did the head cleaning as suggested, but nothing is working. I have installed the work around (Cannon Bubble Jet BJC-4000) as well. I am running Windows XP. What do you think is the problem?

I have exactly the same problem and I have seen it with several other Canon printers. One day stop printing even with brand new cartridges. They go thru the motions but absolutely NOTHING prints. It almost seems as if it might be a distance adjustment (cartridge to paper or something like that).
