Nstructions Use the following steps to ensure that you are ready to print envelopes. Your printer can have either a single envelope or multiple envelopes loaded and ready for printing.

  • If you are printing a single envelope, you can use the single envelope slot and leave your paper in the lower (IN) tray. This allows you to print the envelope and then a letter.
  • If you are printing a stack of envelopes, use the lower (IN) tray for loading the stack of envelopes.
To Load a Single Envelope
  1. Do not remove the paper from the lower (IN) tray. Be sure the card guide is in the down position, before using the single envelope slot.
  2. Remove a single envelope from its packaging.
  3. Slide the envelope evenly into the single envelope slot. The single envelope slot is located on the right side of the upper (OUT) tray. The envelope should be loaded with the address side down (flap side up).
  4. Make sure the creased flap edge of the envelope aligns with the right side of the single envelope slot.
  5. Slide the envelope through the slot until it stops. Make sure the envelope is not bent and is straight in the envelope slot.
NOTE: To minimize print skew, use envelopes with rectangular flaps rather than triangular flaps.
To Load Multiple Envelopes
  1. Slide the paper width adjuster to its leftmost position.
  2. Pull out the paper length adjuster and remove any paper from the IN tray.
  3. Remove up to 20 envelopes from their packing and tap the short edge of the envelopes on a flat surface to even the stack.
  4. Slide the envelopes evenly into the IN tray, address side down (flap side up).
  5. Slide the paper width adjuster to the right until it gently touches the left edge of the envelope stack.
  6. For size Invitation A2 and C6 Envelopes, press the inside of the paper length adjuster handle to release and lower it.
  7. For all sizes of envelopes, push the paper length adjuster in toward the envelopes until it stops. Make sure the envelopes are flat in the lower tray and not bent.
Set up the Printer Properties
  1. Select Start on the taskbar. Choose Settings, then Printers. Right-click the printer. Select Properties from the pop-up menu.
  2. Select the Paper or Setup tab depending on the version of the printer driver software.
  3. In the Paper Options section, select the desired envelope size from the Paper Size drop-down box.
  4. Click OK.
Print Print the envelope from your chosen program. From most applications, just select the File menu, then choose Print. After Printing the Envelopes Reset the printer and the printer properties for the kind of printing you will be doing next.
  1. Remove any remaining envelopes from the lower (IN) tray.
  2. Slide the paper width adjuster to its leftmost position.
  3. Load the desired paper into the lower (IN) tray.
  4. On the computer, Select Start on the taskbar. Choose Settings, then Printers. Right-click the printer. Select Properties from the pop-up menu.
  5. Select the Paper or Setup tab depending on the version of the printer driver software.
  6. In the Paper Options section, select the desired paper size from the Paper Size drop-down box.
  7. Click OK.

How to print #10 envelopes on a Xerox 3610 printer?

Solution : Print on Envelopes You can print envelopes from the Bypass Tray only.
Guidelines for Printing Envelopes
  • Print quality depends on the quality and construction of the envelopes. Try another envelope brand if you do not get desired results.

  • Do not use padded envelopes. Use envelopes that lie flat on a surface.

  • Do not use envelopes with windows or metal clasps.

I use a Dell 3110 cn printer. There were black splotches whenever I printed envelopes.I had a serviceman look at it to no avail so I changed the black toner cartridge. I am now getting blue splotches. ...

when you print envelopes you have to choose the envelopes in the printer settings then only machine knows that envelope is printing. when you don't select envelope in printer settings when you sent a print, the printer knows the a normal paper is coming through. the difference is that the envelope is a bit thick the normal paper. when envelope is selected in printer properties then the printer adjusts its settings to print on envelopes.

Need to pring envelopes on my konica Minolta hub 350 printer

Place envelopes in either drawer 1 (top drawer) or the by-pass tray. Generally, the envelope is placed side to be printed down. (On the printer you can set up custom envelope sizes.)

Select Print. Click 'Properties' for the printer. In the resultant dialogue window, set the printer to print to the 'envelope' print path.
Click OK, click Print. (test print direction first)
Check your printed envelope. You may need to change the orientation of the envelopes to print with the opening at the top.

Trying to print on a #10 envelope from iMac 27 with Os 10.5.1 using iWork. Printer will not load paper

I am on an iMac using OSX 10.5.8 and printing on an Epson R1800. With iWork, word processing module I set up the envelope to print and under the File menu, select page setup and choose #10 Envelope with Portrait orientation. I feed the envelope into the printer in the normal horizontal, top first, print surface up. In the File menu I select Print and hit Return. Most of the time this works. Sometimes the envelope feeds through without printing, and occasionally the envelope won't feed but the printer goes through the printing cycle. The R1800 is not the ideal envelope printer. It is made to print photos on photographic paper. I use an old fashioned typewriter to address envelopes.

Envelopes won't print

Whichever application you are using for printing envelopes must have a set up icon and set, in options, for envelopes

That will show in which position your envelopes will be, when being transported through the printer. Like, print side up, right side of transport, and like that.

Make sure you haven't bypassed this, and be certain that the pass through matches what the printer expects when printing envelopes

My Word 2003, when using an InkJet printer, expects it on the right side, print up. When using my color LaserJet, expects to see the envelope in the center, print side down.

I hope this helps,
-a.

Envelope Feeder is not accepting the command

Solution --> Phaser 4400 Printer: Printing envelopes

Printing EnvelopesEnvelopes can be printed from the optional envelope feeder, the Multi-Purpose Tray, or Tray 1, 2, or 3.
Guidelines for envelope printing
  • Use only paper envelopes.
  • Do not print on the back of the envelope.
  • Never use envelopes with windows, metal clasps, or exposed gummed surfaces.
  • Keep unused envelopes in their packaging to avoid the effects of moisture and dryness, which can affect print quality and cause wrinkling.
  • Envelopes may wrinkle depending on weight and stiffness of the envelope.

Many applications include a tool for creating an envelope document. For example, Microsoft Word includes an Envelopes and Labels feature in the Tools menu. Be sure to:
  • Select faceup.
  • Clear Clockwise Rotation.
  • Select the feed method with the image centered and the stamp on the envelope to the upper left.

caution_image88x30.gif Never use envelopes with windows, metal clasps, or exposed gummed surfaces; they can damage the printer. Damage caused by using unsupported envelopes might not be covered by your printer's warranty.
note_image33x30.gif Note: The heat from the printing process can melt certain types of envelope glue. If the envelope flap sticks shut after printing the test print, tuck the flaps inside the envelopes when printing the remaining envelopes. Printing envelopes from the envelope feeder
  1. Insert the envelopes into the envelope feeder. For more information, refer to the Trays section of the Trays and Paper Guide on the Interactive Documentation CD-ROM.
    • Place the side to be printed faceup.
    • The top of the envelopes should be toward the left of the printer.

PIXMA 830 Smudges when printing envelopes

On my MP780, be careful to select the appropriate paper type; I was getting black smudges on the left side of my envelopes until I explicitly set that my paper type was "envelope" from "plain paper".
Another idea is to adjust the "ink drying wait time" to a higher level.
