Canon pixma mp258 error 5b00, haw can i solve it?

I searched under mp258 on the canonusa.com website and found nothing on it.
There was an mp250, though. Was this model marketed in the U.S. or abroad?

When I input error 5b00 I came up with a series of hits:

http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/products/printers_multifunction/photo_all_in_one_inkjet_printers/pixma_mp250#ServiceAndSupport

The above describes how to shut the printer off and turn on again.

There were quite a few hits, but none referred to the 5b00 problem, specifically, unfortunately.

How to fix Canon Pixma MP258...in it LCD show P07

P07 is a low ink level warning.

Have you recently replaced your ink cartridges?

Try printing something to reset the code, if you've just replaced your cartridges.
