Question about HP LaserJet 4100n Printer
If tray one is empty but tray 2 is loaded, the printer should take paper from tray 2 automatically when we are going to print something.
Check the paper size settings in tray 2 paper cassette. Make sure the tabs correspond to the correct media size (leter, Legal, etc.).
If tray 1 has letter, make sure the tabs in tray two identify letter as the paper size. It could very well be the printer thinks there is a nother size of paper in tray 2 therefore it will not default into that tray when tray 1 is empty.
