Don't have the same model but, our bagless has a paper cartidge filter hidden in the middle. To get to it on our you unscrew the centre plastic piece. I have to take it out and tap the fine dust out at least once a week

I have a Hoover nano cyclonic vacuum. I completely lost suction and found the hose was clogged to the max. After removing it and changing the filter I tried to use it and it picked up dust but not much...

If the hose was clogged there's a good chance the head was clogged too. Try to stick a bent coat hanger or other semi-rigid piece down the throat at the top of the head to push the clog out through the mouth. You might have to remove the beater bar to get the clog out.

Hi Brenna, it's Jack at Dyson.

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC17 Absolute. I can see that you've already checked for blockages, but the issues you've describe do strongly suggest that there's a blockage somewhere in the machine. You might want to follow the steps shown in our online Support guide, as this should help you locate any obstructions you may have missed:

Lost suction but no cloggs in line

see the solution; God bless you
How to determine a clog in your hose
Take your central vacuum hose and connect it directly to the dirt canister. After turning on the vacuum if the hose has normal suction here then the clog exists in your tubing.
Click here for help with tubing clogs. But, if you experience reduced suction at the canister then your hose is clogged. See Solutions below.
check.gifPlug hose in reverse into the inlet located on your unit and turn on the system. This should aspirate the clog out.
check.gifOr, remove the hose from the inlet and push a garden hose through hose to push out the clog. Most importantly, the garden hose must be turned off and there should be absolutely no water entering your vacuum hose.
check.gifOr, remove the hose from inlet and drop in a heavy object such as a screwdriver to push out clog.

I have a Eureka Contour model 2900 type A upright vacuum, the roller works fine nothing clogged, took it apart motor blade is free of debris, no suction from tube and blasts OUT air from the front HEPA...

Even with your explanation,it seems the hose is clogged.Try taking the hose off, then blow through it or pour water through it.If this doesn't do it,make sure the suction canals are going to the proper areas.

Hoover eite rewind vacuum has blocked airflow, how do i fix?

Is there suction at the end of the hose, if not then the blockage is in the hose, unhook the hose and dig out the debris, if hose isn't blocked, then clean out the filters, if they get clogged, then air can;t flow thru them and you won't have suction. If you have suction at the end of the hose, then it is clogged down in the nozzle asm. there is an inlet by the brush roll and it comes up to where the hose plugs into. Clean the clog out.

Attachment hose has no suction

Sometimes when you take them apart and
reassemble the vac (the plastic slide doesn't
make full contact with the lever,or it isn;t on
the lever at all) that switches
from the floor to the attachment. IF Tthere
are no clogs in the duct then that the
most likely problem
