How do I connect a Xbox 360 Console without HDMI to a Grundig LED-tv 40" to get the best picture?

Do you have more than one hdmi channel on your tv I know mine has 3 make sure you have the correct one selected

Your console must have the HDMI connection inorder for it to use the HDMI cord. Most newer consoles have the connection. If your only connection looks like a trapazoid and there is no connection under it stating HDMI, then you do not have a console with the HDMI connection.

it is prolly an internal problem. have to tried connecting the componet cables?

ok i think you need to reset the video settings here is a step by step procedure which you can follow

To reset the display settings of the Xbox 360 console to the default settings, follow these steps:

1. Remove any discs from the disc tray.
2. Turn off the console.
3. Turn on the console.
   
   Note If you are using an Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, turn on the console by using the Xbox Guide button on the controller. Wait for the guide light to indicate that the controller has linked to the console.
   
   Note Make sure that you use the player 1 controller when you do this. The player 1 controller is indicated by the upper-left quadrant light on the console.
4. As the console starts, press and hold the Y button as you pull the right trigger.
   
   Note This action causes the Xbox Dashboard to reset the display settings to the default settings. The console then automatically restarts.

You may need to go into your TV settings and turn on HDMI Audio. If this is not enabled (Typically on HDMI 1) The TV will not ask the 360 for Audio and as such won't pull it.

Connect your HDMI out from the xbox to the receiver. Connect the additional HDMI cable to the "out" HDMI connection on the receiver and connect the other end of it to your TV.

If you have an Xbox 360 Elite or a newer Xbox 360 Premium, you should use an HDMI cable if your TV supports it. Otherwise use a component cable.

I have it and it works great! For all TVs, the TV have to be on fixed settings on standard, dot-by-dot mapping, noise reduction off. The camera's exposure the same for both side-by-side shots. Just set it on standard and it should work...

Hudeez: 1. Did you check your TV Menu Settings ?? 2. Also on the XBOX 360 Menu. Go to the SYSTEM MENU (PURPLE). CONSOLE SETTINGS and select DISPLAY. Then you'll find the HDTV Settings and pick your resolution for TV Set. Done....
