Your tv might not receive a signal for a variety of reason.

a. You have the RCA (yellow,white,red) cables plugged in the wrong way
b. Your ps3 hasn't recognized your video due to using an hdmi cable and switching around with the settings on your ps3.
c. you have changed the video settings on your ps3 and is now set to the wrong video output.
d. the cables have become defective and you need to purchase a new one.
e. the ps3 has malfunctioned and wont take video anymore.
f. the tv input is set wrong. make sure all RCA cables are found in "video output", all hdmi cables are found in "HDMI", and all VGA cables are found under "PC".

Your guess on the problem is as good as mine.

Not all recievers can sample audio from the hdmi jack, some of the earlier generation simply allowed the sound and video to pass thru,check the owners manual you still migty have to hook up an optical cable from the ps3 to the reciever.

I recently went online to play and now i get 'no signal' on my tv from the ps3.
ok have you set up the ps3 on the same as the tv wants to go to

ex. hdmi tv + hdmi ps3 = hdmi cable
or if you have it through scart check it on there

and if that doesnt work then press and hold the on/off button for 5 seconds or untill it beeps when turning on your ps3 and it should work with the cable you have connected to the tv enjoy

when turning it on try holding the power down for up to 5 seconds, it should reset display, if it still aint displaying you will have to search on GILKSY YLOD on YouTube

Your A/V cables might not work anymore. Do you have any spare A/V cables....like from a ps2? Try the cable on your ps3 to see if you can get a signal then. If you don't get a signal it is a problem either with your ps3 or the TV. Try using a different TV, if it continues to happen than it's your ps3. I highly doubt it's your ps3 and doubt you will get to this step, but if you do what you need to do next is buy an HDMI cable and hook it to your ps3 and tv. If your tv doesnt accept HDMI than i dont know what to tell you. If you do this step and it still doesnt work than sorry it didnt work. Hope this helps, good luck.

look for the av button on the remote thats the default ps3-any other console channel if that doesnt work look threw all the channels it could be av/or a little 0 with a arrow threw it just look

Make sure you have selected the HDMI output option in the PS3 menu, otherwise you will get no picture or sound, connect you standard cable to your tv first which came with PS3 to do this first.

No digital to reciever??
This tv will only output the sound from a digital tv channel through the optical output when using the tv's digital tuner. So if you are connecting a DVD etc it will not output through the optical output on the tv. ONLY digital chanels through the tv's tuner will give you sound. Refer to the tv's owners manual for more info.
