Wear thick leather gloves to prevent injury to yourself.

Turn off machine - or reset to a short cycle / drain if the door won't open.

Unload with the gloves on into a plastic bucket or basket - take outdoors.

Hang on line dryer for pieces to fall off. If it looks badly ripped - bin the lot.

Hoover when dry if you think it will make it.
Brush up pieces.

Hoover machine drum to clear it.

Wash at least 5 washes without anything in the machine drum - beware of leaks.

Most pieces will pass through into the drain, but you cannot be 100% sure unless the drum is removed and the outer drum and hoses completely cleaned and checked.

If the machine is over 5 years old - buy another one to be safe.

Clothing gets caught under the agitator wings like sleeves on shirts, strings on clothing ie hooded sweatshirts.

This is something that happens with most top-load washing machines. As long as the agitator has wings, stuff will get under them. That is one reason that front-load machines are becoming more popular.

Some of my clothing is getting small holes appear ie t shirts and some times jeans i don't over load today it has ripped a towel

There could be several reasons:-
Incorrect use of chlorine bleach
Unfastened zips, buckles hooks or fasteners
Ribs, tears and broken threads
Degradation of material
Hard objects left in pockets
Some sharp foreign object caught in holes in the drum and ripping clothing - feel all around the inside of the drum for sharp objects.

Washer doesn't spin

let the machine rest for a long time (cool off) then with no water or clothes try spinning it...
no spin problem can be several headaches:
too much clothes (too heavy)
drive coupler broken
broken lid switch
basket freeze
pump locked
clothing in pump
clothing in between basket
clutch locked up
brake locked up
transmission seized!!!

it is hard to determine exactly without being there to help you...just check what you can... if you have additional questions let me know

Same thing

Liquid fabric softners usually cause spots and/or marks on light colored clothing . If you rewash the clothing and the marks dissapear , then try using dryer sheets instead . However , if you have an older dryer , then clothing could be getting rubbed between the rear drum seal and panel , but that would cause streaks but no spotting .

Washing machine wont empty removed screwable filter all water ran out still wont empty

This is a comment problem. The drain pump may be broken or jambed with lint from the clothing. Remove the pump and check its operation. I usually just replace the pump as they dont last.

Fills up and agitates, but doesn't spin cycle

The belt may have broken. The drum may be jammed by an item of clothing. The main motor may be faulty. There may be a broken wire to the motor.
