Question about Maytag MHWE200XW Washer
I have cleaned filter and replaced drain pump.
Before spending much time and possible unnecessary work, the E1-F6 code may be nothing more than your bottom cover plate is not in place or missing. Recently was servicing a Maytag 2000 series wash and during the inspecting of the cycles it quit and flashed those codes. I had been testing it WITHOUT the bottom cover plate on. When I went to install it back on the code disappeared. Problem simply solved.

what, where and what does the "bottom cover plate" look like????
This information was a llfe saver. I had just cleaned my filter and decided to run the washer before putting the cover back on. 15 minute into the cycle the washer stop and flashed E1 F6. Suggestions ranged from hoses to barings. Your s was easiest an it worked. And best of all it was free.

Hi! I had the same error code, and I just turned off the breaker to the machine and turned it back on, essentially because I was too little to move my stacked unit out to unplug it lol (I'm a girl) and it fixed my problem!!! I was just trying the one solution that I could actually do myself before I paid for anow expert! I am so happy! Please at least try the easy fix before you drive yourself crazy or pay an arm and a leg!

I had this problem too, but I just pulled up the plug. After I charging again then the problem solved. Maybe it can help you.

My series 2000 is 3 years old and kept throwing E1 F6 codes I pulled out CCU board cleaned contacts with a pencil eraser, reassembled and checked all the connections I could find. Still threw codes, but only with a load, not if it was empty, I noticed there were 2 empty places for shock absorbers so I put 2 more shocks in it (5 total) Now it works better than new without shaking. The shocks are about $20 on ebay and very easy to install, it was a cheap, easy fix that worked out for me, I hope this helps someone.

First empty as much water you can thru the front door. There is the filter located right before the water exit pump. Remove the lower panel by unscrewing 3 screws underneath the panel, slide the panel out. You will see a 3 inch cap facing you. Either you must have a shop wet vac or a nice big plastic bag to collect the water which will leak out, there could be plenty. Clean out the filter, you may find coins too. You can pour some clean water into open machine to wash out the hoses. Replace the filter cap carefully, cover, screws.

Drive motor tachometer error(f-6)
The control is unable to properly detect motor speed and the machine will
shut down. If a failure occurs during high-speed spin the door will be
unlocked after 3 minutes.
Potential Causes
• Check wire harness connections between the Drive Motor/Tachometer and
the Motor ControlUnit (MCU), and between the MCU and the Central Control
Unit (CCU)
• Check the Drive Motor
• Check the MCU
• Check the Wire Harness
Replace failed component.
In most cases, the MCU will need ot be replaced.

What is the model number of this unit. Should be inside the door on the frame. If you take off the bottom panel, there is a tech sheet in there that will tell you what that means. I don't know that one off the top of my head and I can't get at my work P.C.right now. It'll give good detail of what to look for on that tech sheet Let me know if you have any questions.

SOURCE: We just got a brand new MayTag Modle # MHWE200XW00
It is a communication error between the CCU and the MCU. It could be just a poor or loose connection or either the motor control or computer control. try unplugging it for 5 min then plugging it in again.

Take a look at this post and see if will you get you started. This issue was a bad pressure switch, it’s a long post but I feel it will get you started. I’ll be away for the next few days, if this doesn’t help I’m sure another forum member will chime in.
There are links to the SM in that post if you want to troubleshoot and DIY the fix.
Good luck.....

I have a Maytag Maxima frontload washer that was getting these two error codes. I found in my case it was due to the tub not draining water as quickly expected. On my model there were two screws at the bottom of the front panel (one on each side towards the floor) Once these screws were removed and my husband tilted the washer up I was able to get my hand behind the panel and unscrew the filter cap that is located towards the middle at the bottom. It is a large plastic circle that you unscrew. With your hand remove any gunk or objects blocking the filter (usually filled with gunk) screw the filter cap back in, screw the front panel screws in and try to run another load. I have had to do this twice so far. You would think if the filter needs to be cleaned out every year or so they would make it more easily accessible.
Hello & Welcome to FixYa
F02 is a drain error in your washer, if
the unit is unable to drain then after 4 minutes it will display suds and then
F02. The first thing that should be done is cleaning the drain hose and the
drain pump filter, you can take out three torx screws from the bottom front
panel and then clean the area completely, lift up the cap to clean the filter.
If the error returns then check the drain pump if it is not working then
replacing the pump is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any
other questions.

I fixed mine. The key was after clearing the drain I had to replace the cover. I wasted another 30 min doing another load not knowing I'd get another error. (Just clear the drain and replace the cover)
