Not sure if it's the same problem as yours or not..... Even when the printer is turned off, it will make a noise about once an hour or so. It sounds like the print heads 'un-park' then park themselves again. Strange......

It wont turn on.

If the power light does not come on and it makes a screeching noise, most likely its broken. I would contact the manufacturor, in case some warranty left.

No power lexmark t630 printer

If the printer does not appear to be getting power, try the following:

  1. Make sure the printer switch is currently turned to the "on" position. If it is, switch the printer off.
  2. Unplug the power cord going into the back of the printer and look for any damage to the plug.
  3. If everything looks fine, plug the power cord back in. Make sure the plug goes all the way in. Also make sure the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet and not through a surge device or power strip. If the printer is already connected directly to a wall outlet, try it in a different wall outlet.
  4. Power on the printer again. Watch the printer screen as you do so and see if it comes up as expected.
  5. If the LCD screen still does not come on, switch the printer off and on again. After turning it on, listen to it for one minute. It normally goes through a short warm-up sequence where it sounds as though it is going to print out a page. This will tell you if any part of the printer is getting power. If the printer makes absolutely no noises on power up, it will probably require service.

I9900 canon printer: does not show any power when turn on.

General NO POWER troubleshooting:

- Try a different known working power outlet (direct to wall preferred)

- Try a different power cable (may not be possible if the cable is attached to a power brick)

- Does it power on (makes some noise) but no lights display or simple no power at all,
if no power and the first two steps still lead to no power next step would be to replace the power supply and or the power plug connector (depending on the PSU)
if it makes noise when you power up but no lights the printer may still be functional but the control panel is damaged

My printer won't light up, make noises, or respond in any way was working prev day but came in to use it and won't even turn on

Remove both ends of power supply cord and then reconnect them. Try another wall plug...try a wall plug instead of a power bar. If nothing works, and your printer uses a power adapter, perhaps the adapter has failed.

My printer is only printing half the picture, one half comes out great and the other half has nothing

  1. Remove the power cable from the printer.
  2. Remove the paper tray from the printer.
  3. Remove the paper from the paper tray.

  4. Verify that the paper you're using has KODAK XTRALIFE Paper
  5. Insert the paper tray into the printer.
  6. Open the color cartridge door, then remove the color cartridge.
  7. If the color cartridge ribbon is torn or damaged, replace it with a new cartridge.
  8. Install the color cartridge, and verify that it is fully engaged.
  9. Close the color cartridge door.
  10. Connect the power cable to the printer.
  11. Wait for the printer to initialize (the paper may eject automatically).

NOTE: For the Photo Printer 500 and the G600 or G610 Printer Docks only, press the power button in addition to plugging in the power cable.
The printer's lights turn on. And after a few seconds, most or all of the printer's lights turn off. The printer will make noises while cycling. If a paper is stuck in the printer, while the printer is making the noises, pull gently on the paper to try and remove it.

Printer won't shut down after paper jam

Unplug the power supply from the wall.
Wait a few minutes.
Open rear access panel if it has one.
Gently pull out jammed paper if possible (don't get rough)
If it won't come out go to next step.
Plug it back in.
Printer will make noises, eject paper, and ready light will come on.

Wont turn on and high pitch noise

Looks like the printers internal electrical components have gone. if there is a tranformer in your printer then that is making that noise. or else even the motors might also be gone.

my strong suggestion take it to any authorized service personnel
