Mac OS X 5.7 and Pixma Canon Pro 9000 will not actually print, gets to the spooler but then stops, ''client error'' comes up. What ever is the problem. It printed my document once, printed the test sheets for colour intensity but now it blocks. Why? What can I do? I need to print the school newsletter tomorrow! Help in the arctic, Sunday, May 2, 2010. I have been gussing around since Thursday!

That is probably some paper or a foreign object inside the machine. Check around the waste station and at the far end of the printhead travel in both directions. Remove any found foreign objects and restart the printer. If there is nothing there to find - it is probable that the is a mis-alignment of the gear train that selects the various functions of cleaning, paper feed, and waste purging. In that case, there is not a lot you can do short of a complete strip down and rebuild with no guarantee of succes.

• Uninstalling / reinstalling the MP800R / MP830 / MP530 drivers (Windows)
• Disconnect other device and reboot computer

Well every advice is the same except a little altered (use a warm cotton swab to clean inside machine and on print head channels) but then it says if possible replace print head but honestly this has become a primitive Machine for turning humans into corpses - buy a new one.

Go to control panel on windows!Click on administrative tools and click on services!Go to print spooler and start it again!Good Luck!
