Need to replace ribbon on canon mp25dv calculator

Have a Canon MP25DV calulator and need to replace the ribbon - did not have one on it. I now have a new one and don't know how to put it on. Can you help?

  • Anonymous Mar 28, 2014

When the ribbon was replaced, a button was hit and now it has an R instead of a decimal point. How do I get the decimal point back?

Remove the printer cover, insert one spool on the left side pin, guide the ribbon though printer and inset other spool on right pin. make sure the ribbon looks like a C with the ribbon coming around the outside of each spool.

I don't think you can turn off sleep mode. However, after the calculator goes into sleep mode, to return to where you are working just press the C/CE key (red key bottom left). The calculator will return to where you left off.

My canon mp25dv calculator will not power on

Check the connections, battery, photo cell, etc.
Is cheaper to replace those than tinker with repairs.

When I print the numbers come out faded, I changed the ribbon is there a way to fix this?

Your ribbon is not seated properly. I would look to make sure you have fed it through all of the guides properly. If this is not a snap in cartridge then I would make sure that the ribbon is feeding the right way and is not upside down.

How do you set the clock/calendar on the Canon MP25DV?

The trick is to hold down the time set button (=) until the time flashes and once the new info is entered, press time set and it will stay.  same with the date.  You kinda need to play around with it.  Thats how i learned.
