Hello there
This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you.
Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.

And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

The pages are printing off center.

A black section down one side of the page could be a couple of things.
1) The Corona Wire Cleaner (The sliding piece on top of the Drum Unit normally either Green or Blue) is not at it's correct rest spot which is where the arrow on the slider and the arrow on the drum unit meet.
2) There is something stuck on the drum or in the laser. Check that there is no scraps of paper caught up in the workings.

Printing too far to one side can be caused by a misalignment of the laser. Turning the machine off for a few minutes may rectify the problem. Otherwise the paper is placed in the tray off-center. Make sure the paper uides on the tray are set snug on the paper.

Hope that helps

Why can't I print dual sided with Hp4250dtn using pc with win 7 64 bit

If you go to PRINTERS in the Control Panel.
Right click on your printer.
Drill down to PRINTING PREFERENCES
Go to FINISHING.
Make sure that "print on both sides" is checked.

Close that window. Now drill down to Properties at the bottom.
Go to "device settings". Drill down to "installable options".
Make sure that "Duplex Unit" is INSTALLED.

Print out the CONFIG pages. On the first page right side, look for duplexer. I believe that it is down where the paper trays are listed. Make sure that it is there.

I have Minolta 2300W Laser Printer and it folds the first page only about 3 to 4 inches down makes a nice one inch fold but take that out and print again...next page fine.....now printing with two wide...

The is blocked by dust on the side of the paper on the image unit that would have color associated with the print. Remove all the image units and clean all the laser glass. Replace those image units also if streaking as for the paper ensure correct paper side and media type.

I have an epson dx4050 printer, not used it for about 6 months, came to use it and noticed its pulling paper through on right hand side faster than the left leaving the print on the paper uneven and paper...

power the printer down... take the paper tray out.. clean the paper roller.. open and close the printer .. then align the paper tray back.. will work fine.. or else u might need t change the printer.. there's nothing more we can do because inkjet printers are single units no parts are replaceable..

BLACK LINE ALONG RIGHT SIDE OF LETTER SIZE PAPER

Is this and Okidata C5100? And is the stripe vertical up and down on the page? I'm going to assume yes to both of those for the sake of trying to help. Worse case is the fuser unit in the machine is wearing in one spot and thats why the streak is appearing. Also, many color printers require a seperate drum unit or photo conductor unit. These could have a wear spot on them as well. They can fail long befor the change drum light appears. Other than that remove and inspect the black cartridge. If there is a shutter on it, pull back and inspect the two inner rollers. You're looking for any wear spots in a location that corresponds to the streaks on the paper...or an excessive amount of toner leaking from one spot on it. Hope this helps!!

Black roller marks on right side of paper

Sounds like you have a bad fuser assembly if the drum unit didn't solve the probelm.

Error 6a80

Error 6A80

I had this error and a Canon engineer showed me how to deal with this.

Basically there is an "App Sensor" which is reporting the issue in my case the problem was with the "Purge unit".

(a) Left up the cover to reveal the ink cartridges
(b) Move the ink / print head to the left hand side
(c) Look to the right under the flap where the ink would sit when printer is powered off
(d) underneath there is something in white that is flat - this is called a wiper.
(e) push this wiper with your fingers - pushing in the direction toward the front of the printer - you may need to do this a few times.
(f) power off and then power on (using button on the front and NOT by pulling the power out of the back)

Hopefully error should go after you attempt this a few times!

Canon pixma mp 160

HI this is happening to me right now too-- try this-- I'm not sure if it's going to work-- but it's worth a shot.

On your computer, go to a print menu to print a document.
click on properties
go to maintenance tab
try the quiet/sleep mode

also, try going to custom and slow down the printing allowing for a little extra dry time.

reason I suggest it: my printer is doing the same, it's almost like the auto sheet feeder (only on the right side--why paper is grabbing weird) is grabbing too quickly. When in sleep mode, it seems to slow it down a little. I've also been printing 1 page at a time. I'm not saying this is a permanent fix, but at $50 for a pack of ink-- hopefully if you can't fix it-- it can get you to use up the last of the ink you have incase you decide to get a new printer.
