Receiving to Memory Temporarily
You can enable memory receiving feature temporarily.
1 Press [ON/OFF] to select .
z The fax starts receiving documents in memory.
z To cancel, press [ON/OFF] again.

briefly press the on/off button and it should say auto print on!!Hope u get it sorted!!Cheers!

I have a canon fax jx500

Turn auto print on by pressing the on/off button once.If you hold down the on/off button the macine switches off,if you press it once it switch beteen auto print on or off.At first I was also confused by this setting.

I have a canon fax-jx500 and i cant get it to work.. it took me 20 minutesto get the ink cartridge in. and now it says on the lcd screen that the line is in use and the phone is dead... any suggestions?

I had a bit of a job putting the ink cardtridge in but it needs to pushed in a downwards action, I was trying to push it slightly upwards

Auto-answer issue: fax beeps on line when voicecall received

Try changing the receive mode from automatic to FAX ONLY and set the number of fax rings higher. You should be able to receive phone calls and if you are not answering your phone it will automatically receive a fax.

Hi rebecca you have to Press the on / off switch once, this will switch the machine's fax to auto receive mode. Press and holding on / off switch causes it to power off.

Press the On/Off switch momentarily to quit the memory receive mode. Your faxes that were received into memory will be printed :)
