If you are running multiple things on your computer at the same time as printing that will slow down your computer....Also open up your task manager "ctrl+alt+delete" And shut down any unnecessary processes running especially if it says your CPU usage is above 90%
You possibly might have too many other documents open at the same time or you are printing graphics which will slow down the printer. Also the print driver might be outdated so visit this site to see if there is an updated driver.

If you are using a MAC then the issue might be not the right driver so if you are on a MAC see if it is also the latest driver.

Print a self-test report. See the section on how to use these solutions at the beginning of this document.
If the self-test report prints , try printing the original document again. If the issue is resolved, there is no need to continue troubleshooting.
If the self-test report prints, but the original document does not , continue to the next solution in this document.
If the self-test report does not print , try printing the report again. Listen for the rubber paper-pick rollers; you should be able to hear them rotating. Then, try slowly pushing the paper farther in until the roller engages to pick up the paper. Be careful not to push the paper in too far, which can cause paper jams.
If the self-test report does not print when slowly pushing the paper farther in , repeat the previous steps to clean the rollers again. If the issue continues after repeated cleaning, skip the next solution in this document, and then service the product.
If the self-test report prints when slowly pushing the paper farther in , try printing the original document again. The paper might not have been loaded far enough into the product. If the issue is resolved, there is no need to continue troubleshooting.
If the paper only feeds through the product when you slowly push it farther in , repeat the previous steps to clean the rollers again. If the issue continues after repeated cleaning, skip the next solution in this document, and then service the product.
It's because the print queue is saved on the printer's flash memory. This happens when you don't cancel the queues properly or terminated improperly. To get rid of the issue, always try to give the command slowly and don't over load. If you are printing photos, try to make the file size small so that it'll not take long to spool and prepare for printing.
When the problem occurs, so as follows:
Cancel the queues from the print status box ("Cancel all documents"), if they are not cancelled, then turn off the printer (directly unplug the power cord from the printer), it you still see the printing status, keep on cancelling until everything's gone.
If the problem persists, restart your computer. Definitely the problem will be fixed.
It's also important to press the cancel button while the printer powers On.
The actual issue you will find that its not so much the actual printing part of the process that is slow, its actually the spooling to the printer that takes the time. Does your printer support PostScript printing ? (PostScript is a printing & imaging standard used by many printers) To find out if your printer does indeed support this either refer to your manufacturers documentation or perform a test page and look to see if you have a PostScript enabled option. If your printer does support PostScript, make sure you are using its PostScript printer driver, most of the time we generally use PCL drivers, so simply change this. Regards.... If you find your printer does not support PostScript there are a few other tweaks we can implement to increase printing speed.
Firstly we can force PDF files to be printed as graphics as opposed to text, to do this launch your chosen PDF viewer, select Print > Advanced > Print as image Lower the print resolution, if we lower the print resolution most of the time the difference is very small, but it can reduce the actual print size of the document by up to 300%, which can greatly decrease printing times. Make sure you are using the latest version of any print drivers or your chosen PDF printing program, normally Adobe Acrobat. If the printer only has a small amount of memory if possible add more, if possible install a PostScript SIMM. Check the amount of ram your computer currently has, check memory usage from task manager when printing to ascertain usage
well if you really needed a pdf printing concern, you may add an option which is Multi Page Description Language Controller Module. the post script printing language will be activated and you won't have to wait for the computer to process the pdf document on a gdi format (microsoft). what's more is that your mac computer can also directly print to the dp-8045.
Try the "better" or "best" print options - They give more ink - might do the trick - (beware it also prints a lot more slowly....)
I have not had that type of problem as such as both my ink slots work, but I did have purple/bluish print instead of black once - It worked for me -
Hope that helps -
I have also found that despite cartridges being new somethimes they are not as full as they should....
The problem is in the spooling. You can access the printer features and set your spooling to finish before it starts printing. This is simply gathering all that it is going to print and then begin printing. Most printers are set up to print right away but it could take longer for the next pages. You could also print only one page at a time and then the next when it is done. But this may not be practical for your needs. Let me know how you do.
if you want to stop a print run simply press the stop button on the printer
next go to the control panel and get to the add a printer section
click on the printer and open up see what is printing
highlight all in the print queue and delete it there no print queue , nothing to print
to be sure and not waste paper remove all but 1 sheet and press the start button
keep using that paper until what is spooled in the printer memory has been used
Hi,
This is a link from the HP website. Step 3 shows what you can do to speed up the printing.
