SOURCE: Water in bean dispenser/grinder

Hi,

If you look at the bean hopper you will see two screw, loosen this and take off the bean hopper. Now you will see the grinder, you have to take of the adjustment on the side, that plastic on the grinder.

Now you can turn the ring anticlockwise, and take out the middle of the grinder.

Let me know if you wondering about anything

SOURCE: Coffee Grinder on the EAM3500

We just went through the same situation. We opened the top the Magnifica to get to the grinder and removed the four screws to seperate the grinding pieces. Inside we discovered two black fosilized beans/stones! We removed those, cleaned out all the bean dust and it is working like new! Took about an hour.

SOURCE: Coffee grinder was not grinding.

Yes you are correct one posible problem is the coffee shute. This is leading aslo to the passage where you put the grinded coffee and cleaning tablets. This might have be clocked from dry coffee mixed with humitity or steam. So you can use a bending brush similar to the one used to clean babes milk bottles and at the same time vacum with air vacum cleaner.
You can make perfect cleaning if you remove the top platic panel and visual check that everything are perfectly cleaned.
The last thing that is possible for the problem is weak ginder motor which have lost its power so it can grinds but not have the power to push the grinded coffee all the way through chute to the coffee group. In this case you will need new grinder motor.
Hope that this can help you, good luck.

Our Delonghi Magnifica grinds beans but then the ground coffee light comes on and nothing happens

These machines are designed to fail, especially this particular model which is here on Fixya many times a week. The only way to fix is dealer service due to computers and software controlling them.

Delonghi magnifica S is making clicking noise when grinding beans and error symbol appears when coffee should be poured. On turning off and on it no longer does the rinse cycle as well

My Delonghi Magnifica was making a ratcheting /clicking noise when it should have been grinding. No coffee grind coming to diffuser, display showed '' Add more Beans''. I used vacuum cleaner to suck up the residual beans from the hopper and used wooden skewer to poke out any beans at top of the grinder. Did not solve. I then removed the protective hood over the inlet to grinder and used vacuum cleaner to remove all grind. With inspection light I could see a foreign object stuck in the grind. It was stuck fast. Using pointed noise pliers I was able to rotate the inner grinder in the reverse direction which released the object upwards and then gripped by PN pliers. Turned out it was a piece of plastic from the bean hopper lid which had broken off near to the front hinge. All working again and we're getting our fix nia.... AM McCooey

My Delonghi Magnifica 3400 is making weak espresso. Is it the diffuser?

Have a look how much coffee is actually thrown in by the machine. You can take a flash light and look down the ground coffee funnel, when the machine is grinding. Or after making a cup of espresso, look in the tray how much coffee it dumped in there. I don't think the infuser is the problem. I expect there's a problem with the grinder...

Vac out the bean chamber, then remove the 2 or 3 screws and carefully lift the bean hopper off the machine, then continue cleaning the grinder, careful not to lose the gasket around the top of the grinder. When done reassemble and try to brew but do not add beans to hopper as yet. Until you are sure all the plastic pieces are out.

You can fix it yourself, first backflush with espresso machine soap, then remove screw, shower and diffuser in grouphead. For diffuser you might have to remove the 2 allen wrench screws to get it out, then clean the spring and valve you find in the head behind the diffuser.

I just got a used Rocky grinder. It works great but I read about

the grinding itself makes noise. if you have noise in empty spinning than you should consider changing bearings( 2 of them) in the motor.
during opening grinder pay attention to lower holder of burr which spins together with axis, try to be gentle with that part.

Saeco Primea Touch Plus flow problem

In the bean hopoer there is a little screw. Remove this screw and the cover and you will see an adjustment alan key. You need to push down and rotate the adjuster counter clockwise to make it finer and clockwise to make it bigger. Make sure you only rotate the grinder a little at a time, 1/4 turns at a time recommended. Make 2 cups then readjust if necessary.

Lots of disturbing noises, no coffee

It is is easy, if you know how to do it... as always
First take of the wather, trach bin etc,
Start with removing the cup wher the beans is stored, the adjustment knob for the mill is a tricky part. Remove it by bending out the side of the knob. Thereafter remove the screws from cup and those you on see on the top.
The front (silver frame) is removed by lifting it upwards, behind it you have 4 screws that has to be removed.
The last two screws is found under the wather tank.
Now you should had take away 11 screws, at least...
Bend the back of top and it will be off. Finally push the rest of the plastic cover backwards.

Do you know what the error codes says? I have know 6,8and no coffy...

Grinder setting i

0 is the finest setting. If you read the manual, it advises to adjust your grinder ONLY when the grinder is actually working. Also, you should only adjust it gradually from one setting to the next (ei. from 2 to 3), and wait about 5 cups before adjusting the setting again.
