The lid is delicate and may have lost a point on one of its corners. Order a replacement. This has happened to me twice over the years and both times this resolved it. You can first experiment by applying very gentle pressure from the point of a small, sharp knife at one of the spots where those points of the lid clicks in (first examine the lid to see if there may be a subtle change/chip in one of the points).

SOURCE: Bean hopper is full, grinder is grinding...but NO COFFEE!

Sometimes the chamber between the grinder and brewer will clog up. Try: Open the grind all the way up to the highest number. Push the grind button and while grinding move the dose knob (the one with the + - sign toward minus. If it does not kick in and dose try it again. If it does take off then leave it on the high number for 3 coffees. Then while the grinder is turning move the two knobs back to whre they were. If this does not work you can reomve the brew unit and right above where it sits in the machine there is a trap door that you can open. Open it and shove someting like a straw up toward the grinder and you should get a bunch of grounds droppiing down. Then try the above procedure a couple more times. If this does not work you may need to google "Saeco repair" and send it to an authorized repair center.

A patchwork bean bag chair is basically a regular bean bag but with all different squares of colored material making up the cover pattern. Here's a picture of one.

I heard that a while ago, there was a safety problem with bean bag chair zippers. Is this true and is there still a safety concern?

It is true. Approximately 20 years ago there were some safety issues regarding the zippers closing the bean bag chairs. Now many companies have worked to correct this issue and have manufactured bean bag chairs with a double locking zipper.

Cannot remover the coffee grinder from machine.

Remove Coffee Maker's top cover. Slide coffee bean container off (after emptying it of coffee beans). Remove fixing screws (normally philips) securing the bean container platform. Remove grinder's bean intake rubber seal. Unscrew the grinder's fine/course selector, paying close attention to where it was originally fixed, from factory. 4 rubber bushing are anchoring the grinder in place, which can be seen from the front of the Coffee Maker (w/ door opened). Wiggle each rubber bushing through, as you pull grinder from the top. Grinder should come loose, after unplugging wires. - Good Luck
