Hey I had this issue as well with my FAX and I validated that my setting were good and I'd even hear the Fax line pick-up and get a "no Answer" error. I went into FAX settings and just turned something called TCM off and then it worked. Maybe it is for sending it to an older Fax machine, but I did get it to work!
First try to copy and if copy works fine, means the hardware is fine and issue with the driver.
Do right-click on printer icon and select delete.
Once deleted, run the installation disc and click on add a device, follow onscreen instructions to complete the installation. Open printers and faxes window and then do right click on printer icon and select properties, click on print test page.
Check if it prints fine, if yes try to print from other application. I hope it will work.
You set the machine up in the answer/fax mode, when a fax is coming in you have to press 9 on the phone to make it receive the fax if you pick up the receiver when it is a fax call.
You can also change the number of rings to answer a fax, I think the max is 7 rings.
You can change the number of rings before the fax machine can pick up. Three is usually a good number. You would have to pickup the phone on the first two rings.
They make devices that do that but everytime I have used them I would end up getting the fax tone when I'm trying to make a voice. The boxes are great at dealing with incomming phone calls from pstn or land line based calls, but if you are getting cell phone calls or voice calls comming in from digital, DSL, or VOIP lines, it has a hard time sensing voice from fax when people are using phones like that. There designed for analog phone line installation but if you're on a DSL they won't work.
Go to control panel and printers and faxes and right click on printer icon then hit printing preferences, go to maintenance and do head cleaning cyles and print nozzle check. if it comes out fine trash and reinstall driver download driver from support.epson.com site after selecting the printer mdel on the lists
