Horizontal lines, not vertical. There is a problem with VOIP transferring the scanned image not the machine itself.

I Cannot Receive a Fax - the pages are blank

A second line isn't needed, this wouldn't cause blank pages to be printed. This could cause fax's not to be received if the line is in use. There could be 2 causes of blank fax's. Either the obvious which is the person sending the fax is faxing the document the wrong way up. Or the fax board on your copier has a malfunction. Because of the copier's age, this seems likely, although i hope not. hope this helps.

Some lines are missing when receiving faxes

Horizontal or vertical? Or do you mean lines of text?
Did you try to copy a document? If the copy is fine, then the fault is on the sending side, or there are severe transmission errors.
If the copy exhibits the same faults as the received faxes, then something is wrong with the printing part of your fax, and solving the problem will depend on the printing technology used (inkjet - clogged heads, need cleaning, or empty ink, needs replacing etc.)

I get a white line through but it is not telling me to change toner?

This can occur if you receive a lot of faxes that may have a vertical block or a lot of text or pictures etc. in the same location on the page. The toner can be used in that particular area of the page and a white line results.

Remove the toner cartridge from the fax, keep it horizontal. Shake it side to side whilst keeping the cartridge horizontal. This redistributes the toner inside the cartridge. Replace the toner cartridge in the fax.

Hope this helps.

Fax rec 2-3 pgs OK, then disconnects and gives Comm Error

These errors mean that the communications have failed, and can mean that the receiver at the other end has terminated the call prematurely.
If the problem occurs with the same destination, then the receiver fax may be the problem.
If the error persists try disabling ECM

2" black horizontal line appears on paper when I fax, print,

Check the wondow where the paper passes to be scanned. You will probably find some debris or white out stuck on the glass. That is usually the cause of vertical lines on sent faxes.
