THE PRINTER PRINTS BLANK PAGES
If you haven't used your printer in a while, it's possible the print heads have become totally clogged (assuming you haven't already checked out the obvious things like ink levels etc.)
I found that by removing the printhead (remove the ink carts, flip a lever and lift out) you can try spraying some window cleaner onto the nozzles on the underside, leaving a few minutes, and then get a bowl of hot tap water and touch the nozzles on the surface of the hot water.
This will definitely help some 'soft' blocked nozzles. If you get SOME print action after this, then you know the problem is definitely clogged nozzles. However, if they're severely blocked, then you can find a print head cleaner kit online for about $10. It contains some cleaner fluid, a syringe and some pieces of clear hose that fit on the ink funnels on top. Then you can inject cleaning fluid into the nozzles. Did it for mine - worked a treat!
BTW, the inkjet head is fairly watertight in itself - you can flush the nozzles under a hot tap no problem. DO MAKE SURE THE HEAD IS COMPLETELY DRY BEFORE YOU PUT IT BACK IN YOUR PRINTER!
