After replacing the fuser last week, I printed a test page which came out fine. But right after that, the message "Jam in Output Bin" appeared. I only printed that one page which came out just fine. I have tried restarting the printer and computer, reseting the printer, taken it apart again to check for accordion jam, blowing compressed air on rollers and sensors. And the message persists. It's out of warranty so HP is no help. Any other ideas to try?
The output Bin message comes from the sensor that reads when there are to many pages printed and they are sitting on the top BIN. Check the BIN sensor or arm and make sure that it is reading. Most of the time the sensor has a broken arm the the sensor reads to let it know when the BIN is full. You might want make sure that you reconnected the sensor and you have take the top cover off to replace the fuser. Bruce

You need to replace your Maintenance kit and reset the fuser count.
This counter is reset by the servicer after a “80 Scheduled Maintenance” message displays (300K copies) and a maintenance kit is installed. To view the Maintenance Page Count: 1. Select Maintenance Count Value from the Diagnostic menu. 2. Press Return to go to the previous menu. To reset the Maintenance Page Count to zero: Select Reset Maintenance Count. Pressing Select resets the maintenance page counter to zero. Reset Maintenance Count Saved displays momentarily. When the reset operation is complete, the menu returns to the Printer Setup Reset Maintenance Count screen.
To enter the Diagnostic Mode: 1. Turn the printer off. 2. Press and hold the Go and Return buttons. 3. Turn the printer on. 4. Release the buttons when "Performing Self Test" displays on the operator panel. The tests display on the operator panel in the order shown: • Print Registration • Print Tests • Hardware Tests • Duplex Tests (If installed) • Input Tray Tests • Output Bin Tests • Base Sensor Test • Printer Setup • Error Log • EP Factory Defaults

Hi,
As i can understand whenever you try to print with rear door closed printed page should come on top from top output roller however paper gets jammed.
Solution:
Try to print a page using rear door open and it should come out from the rear drop down tray it printed page comes out successfully with rear flap open than paper gets jammed at top due to faulty top output roller.
However if the paper gets jammed at fuser with rear door closed than it is issue with fuser in that case you need to get fuser replaced at the same time replace 20 tooth gear next to fuser.
The printed page comes through the hot fuser at the top of the printer, through the exit rollers an end up in the exit bin.
We cleared a massive paper jam out of the fuser, by removing the grey surround on top of the printer. The plastic hooks that hold it in place get broken in the process, then you will the jammed paper between the fuser rollers, and the exit rollers. A technician can do it for you, but is unessersarly costly.
okay, I have this problem I think. It is jamming on the OUTPUT side of the fuser, and I have replaced the fuser with a new one.
I learned tonight, through trying various things, that it will not jam with the printer lid open. (you can make it "print" with the lid open if you push the lid switch in so that the printer thinks it is closed. That made me wonder if it had anything to do with the led strips (black bars attached to the lid) so just for fun I unplugged the C led strip so that it wouldn't produce any light onto the drum. With the lid closed and the C disconnected, the printer will not jam. (but you get no blue on the page of course!) when I re-connect the C led strip, it jams on the output side of the fuser every time. It is very consistent.
I don't understand how putting blue toner on a paper can make it curl so much that it jams up in the fuser, but it does.
I'm sure there is something else gong on here that I don't fully understand- hopefully someone who knows more than I do can use this info to help us all out a little.
I'm going to go and fiddle with the drums now. I don't have an extra one right now, but I'll see if I can narrow it down further.
Make absolutely sure there actually is no paper jammed in there.
I came to this page with the same warning, convinced I had a software glitch. Turned out there was a page accordion-folded down to the size of a pencil lead. I didn't know paper could be folded that small.
Of course, everyone here may be a lot brighter than I am, in which case sorry to waste your time. But for me, the obvious first fix needed to be thoroughly explored before cursing HP and their machine.
