Ricoh SP C410dn Paper only prints 11cm and stops in the Bypass T

Hi I have aRicoh SP C410dn I am trying to print a 11cm width by 52cm lenght OHP type material (used for UK number plates). However it will only print 11cm from the end and jams the printer. It places the toner on a little bit more but you can rub that area off.

I have tried to chang the custom paper settings but the printer will not allow me to put in 52cm in lenght it keeps reverting to 40 something - please any ideas?

Do not use ohp film in this device as it will jam due to the use of optical paper sensors unless your ohp has a paper backing. you can set up the bypass tray for thick paper type to increase fuser temp to get better fusing etc

Ink Fusing Issue

Replace fuser unit. Be sure you are setting the paper type when printing. Thicker paper requires more heat and will damage the fuser.

Ricoh SP C410 DN jam from bypass

If you can take off the bypass unit, two screws and a harness, you may be able to check the shaft, bushings and rollers. Sometimes removing jammed paper cause parts to get out of normal position. The grinding noise for example, gears not meshing together correctly. If it worked before the jam, then that is where I would look.

This is happening to me also. The rollers sound like they're turning, but the paper doesn't advance. I then go into th emachine and spin the roller cam a bit and it seems to clear the problem. Any idea what's happening?

Ricoh Aficio SP C410DN "set toner cartridge correctly"

It sounds like the part the toner bottle slides under to lock in place is broken. you could try and fold some paper and tape it to the toner to hold it down.

Ricoh/Aficio SP C410DN Tray priority switches on its own

It is pulling paper from the tray specified within the application you are printing from or the driver. For example, from Microsoft word, you would have to go into page setup and select the tray you would like it to pull from. You will also want to check which tray it is pulling from in the driver, however the application generally overrides the driver settings. Both of which override anything you program at the machine.

Printing from the wrong tray on the Ricoh C410 DN

these settings need to be done with the RPCS printer driver, go to properties and then custom settings from there you can tell the printer where to print from.

Paper tray default issues

you need to go into the print menu on the printer and change the paper tray size back to letter, when you have it right there will be an asterik next to letter confirming that it was programmed

Choosing a paper type

Un fortunately it is often a trial and error thing. I would try all "special settings", even cardstock ect.
