Try cleaning the rollers

double click on printer print queue opens make sure all print job is cancled
the click file and set printer online cabel must beconnected.Left click on printer and make sure you select the corect printer port or above will not work

Press additional functions
right arrow until you see address book, press OK. You should see 1- touch speed dial.
press OK
If you want the 01 position to be a number press OK.
Follow or answer prompts using OK until finished.

When you double click the Printer and Faxes icon in the Control Panel you will see the printer that your computer is currently using. See.... if the printer image is clear it is online and ready to use, if its blurred then its in offline mode and cannot be use.

Move mouse pointer on to your printer icon in the Printer folder. Does a right click and click on the sixth line of the menu (“Use printer on line”). Then it will change as “Use printer offline”. Make sure the printer is set as default printer.
