Ps2 is not reading disc my playstation fell down and now doesn't read the disc

sounds like they damaged the lazer unit.....You could take it back if its not very old. so yea buy a new one

your motherboard probably got chipped or broke from the fall. i would send it in for repair.

if it says reading disc 4 a while then disapears then try loading the disk while the ps2 is upside down.

something might be broken on your ps2.just buy a brand new ps2/ps3 if you like

The eye that reads the discs has gone off of its track. you need to take the casing off and just use plyers or even your hands to push the piece back in place. After putting the eye in place, you should be able to easily push it back and forth on the tracks.

Use to have this problem alot, there is a track on the under side of the tray a little plastic pin follows, it has jumped the track, do not force it closed or you could break the track, hopefully it isnt broken already. Have you ever opened a ps2 before?

something might be broken or the lens are just misallinged or just buy a new ps2

try these my ps2 also fell over and i had this problem, you probably knocked the laser loose. it is a good sign tho that its reading the cleaning disc. this is really simple to do although it will void ur warranty if you do!!!!! please be sure because once you cut the seal thats all she wrote.

check the adjustment of ur cd holder, it might be very deep that causes the cd to touch the lens..coz lens usually move up and down, forward and back to read the cd...
